Gump! LOL! Defintely NOT a gump! I hate those guys! But, I do believe in fairness, and, as much as I hate those guys, I do give Saban credit for the work he has done this year with that team. Still hate that cheap shot by DT on JD5. That was most definitely targeting! But, I digress!

My obvious bias? For who exactly?

Liberty is an undefeated conference champion too! Texas has a loss! Should we swap them?

And that shouldn’t matter. FSU got fricked. They went undefeated. They won 2 games with a 2nd string quarterback and the ACC Championship with a 3rd string. They should have been rewarded not punished. NCAA and committee is corrupt. They bent over for Saban, Texas money and market, TV ratings and cache. And they further sucked a big one by setting it up so they might get Texas and Alabama in a final. I am hoping like hell they get Michigan Washington in a final and a blowout by one of them by half time with TV’s turning off.

I never said that was their only criteria. It is where they appear to start. If you listened to the guy today, he explained they break down the teams by pods, going through various criteria as they move through those pods. They rank the teams within those pod groupings, then move teams from one to another if they see a criteria that they see justifies it.

Not ignoring it at all. But, acknowleding they won as much as FSU is acknowledging that they won against BC, Clemson, and Florida, all games they struggled to win. You can't penalize one team for almost losing a game and not the other. That's not fair.

If FSU is claiming they deserve to go because they won all of their games, then the only thing that matters about the ALA-AU game is ALA won the game. Doesn't matter how. Maybe next time, the idiots on the AU staff won't spy on a hail mary play to allow such a miracle to happen, and we wouldn't even be having this discussion.

f they KC chiefs are going to the Super Bowl and Patrick Mahomes breaks his leg 2 weeks before, they don’t take KC out of the Super Bowl. The whole thing is nefarious. You can’t make a decision based on what you THINK will be the result. This is a total overstep by the committee.

Agreed and not only that, the absence of one player: even Tom Brady or Peyton manning, moves the line a touchdown or maybe just a bit more. The honey badger when out for us was worth three points max. It’s crazy to think in a game that involves eleven players on a side playing 50% of the time, that fsu without Jordan Travis just becomes a bunch of blithering idiots drooling all over themselves running around like chickens with their heads cut off. No way. Norvel is up to the task.

The truth of the matter is that the committee knows the system is changing next year. They don't have to worry about setting any precedents. They can do whatever they want.

It's completely asinine logic.

"Florida State is so damn good, they went undefeated and won their conference with their 3rd strong QB."

You definitely ARE arguing it

Then by this post above, FSU won every game and Bama did not. What exactly is your logic?
