Yes.
I'm guessing that most of the people that would want to pay Jimbo that are stay at home, watch the game on their big screen tv types.
It is easy to play the game with somebody else's money.

If it turns into a dumpster fire within 5 years, they have the money to buy him out early so it doesn't matter.
I know THEY do, the question was would WE commit to that deal.
And to that I say: Nah bruh

No.
Too much money.
Too long a term.
Fisher is too old for that kind of term, anyway.

Nay. We're already paying enough as it is for games and it's a gigantic risk on a coach who just struggled to make a bowl game with a preseason top 5 team. a 10 year contract for 7.5 million a year is way way too much Jimbo.

Every comment like this just further solidifies LSU is cheap and a bunch of poors

I have not seen Jimbo do anything exceptional, other than to ride on the back of Winston.
Lol this is hilarious. You mean he rode the back of the QB he recruited out of HS and developed into a Heisman winner, won a NC with, and groomed to be the first overall NFL pick and NFL starter. Yea, he is a hack that used Jameis.

Being this is basically the same post by another author I just copied my response and here it is. Slightly edited
No thanks!
Bro seriously Jimbo has basically the same winning percentage at FSU as Les Miles had at LSU.
8 seasons at FSU Jimbo 83 wins vs. 23 loses = .783%
12 seasons at LSU Miles 114 wins vs. 34 loses = .770%
Obviously the competition in the SEC is tougher than the ACC, probably the reason Jimbo turned down LSU in the 1st place.
I do believe LSU ran off Miles because of his record and the need to compete against f'ing Bama. You did see what Bama did to FSU this year, right? Jimbo is like others have mentioned here already. He is only as good as his qb. Miles could actually compete in the SEC with out one to some extent. A good play caller doesn't necessarily equate to a good HC. He doesn't get a pass on this terrible season because Bama knocked out his qb & this season was worse for him than most here thought ole white boots would produce...just sayin I gave CEO 7 wins at best being a new HC with a new OC installing his system with DE @ qb.

You don't spend that much unless you KNOW what you're getting.
You never KNOW what you’re getting. Ever.
But we paid 3.5 million for a guy that was 10-25 in his only head coaching stint, so I think 7 million for a guy that is 83-23 even with this bad season doesn’t seem all that unreasonable.
There were plenty of idiots crying about how paying over a million a year for Saban was some outrageous fortune that would break LSU.
A few years later run of the mill coaches were making three times that.
In a few years Jimbo will be a top 10 salaried coach locked into his deal while schools are paying eight figures to try and catch the next big fish.
Namely, LSU, after O pops off a few more 8-4/9-3 seasons everyone is so stoked about.
We’ll be throwing 10 mill at Frank fricking Wilson begging him to come back to BR.

It also explains why TAMU can afford to make this move and LSU cant. TAMU has more money, is in a state with 1000x better economy and has wealthier and more generous alumni. While this board is complaining about costs that affects them in no way, Aggie alum are stroking huge checks to the university that doesnt even dent their worth. Its more of a reflection of Texas vs Louisiana in general actually. We will see where the two programs end up in 10 years.

Not 10 years, no.
But I damn sure wouldn’t have said “frick it, I have someone who wants the job” either.
