No, along with success coaches have to be around longer than 5 years for that kind of honor.

I don’t know if he needs a statue but there sure are a bunch of bitter little people in denial about what he brought to LSU.

I’m also bitter about how we supported his dream to go to the NFL only to have him pop back up at a hated rival who went on to have the future we should have had. It’s also true that LSU brought plenty to the table. But if it was all LSU and had nothing to do with Saban, we’d have 8-10 championships in the same time period., we would have never had the horrendous seasons in the late eighties, Saban wouldn’t have had the kind of success he had at Bama. Bama wasn’t predestined to have that success. They are perfectly capable of sucking as you will soon find out.

I’m not big on statues to begin with because it can get out of hand. I’ll always appreciate what he did for LSU but his legacy is at Alabama putting a statue of him at LSU would invite some ridicule and looks a little “little brotherish”.
