I saw some post somewhere from a gump talking up that they had way more nattys and what not. Got me to thinking. If I could trade right now, LSUs natty last year for Bamas last ten years, would I? My answer to that is hell no, not a chance. Bama wins and nattys although great when taken in context, are rather boring. There isn't a single one you can point to that will be remembered as one of the best teams of all time. Prior to LSUs 2019 season, the consensus was the Canes of the early 2000s as being a complete team top to bottom who would tear any modern team apart. 20 years later and they are remembered that way. Well LSU has displaced that team, now and hopefully for a long, long time. Bama, Clemson or whatever modern team you plug in, cannot claim the kind of dominance that LSU had on the world of college football in 2019/2020. We will be remembered as the best for a long time, and that is worth more than every pedestrian win Bama has ever had. I was just wondering if I was alone in that?

Ehhh, I’d love to have multiple championships the last decade but this past season was truly special. Wouldn’t trade it for anything.

there is more sentimental value to our natty than all of Bama's because of how historic the season was and the unexpected nature of it all.

However, Bama has put themselves in a position where they'll never have that kind of sentimental value to a title because it is so expected at this point. And while that may make our 1 title more revered by the fanbase and feel "more special" we still want to win more and are striving to be in Bama's position where national championships are commonplace.

So the answer is Bamas nattys

our natty has triggered so many bama fans. Can't remember being triggered by another team's NC other then when we got beat in 2011.

I would probably rather have Bama's national championships but there may never be another season/team in college football like last year during my lifetime. The entire 2019 season was so special.

Put the question like this : If you were a Patriots fan would you trade the other 6 Super Bowls for winning SBXLII and finishing the historic 19-0 season?

For ALL the talent we have had come through here the last 12 years we should have more than just one title.

Most everyone knows, if we had some other coach -- CEO, etc. -- than CLM during that period --- with the GREAT talent that was on the roster... LSU would have had at least 2 more Natty's.

All we had to do was get rid of the ANTIQUATED OFFENSE that CLM liked...

the only years between 2007 and 2019 that we National Title caliber teams was 2011 and 2012, (maybe 2010). Both of those teams lost to equal or slightly more talented teams with the GOAT coach.

Yes 2005-2007 Coach O that went 10-25 at Ole Miss was clearly a coach that would have beaten Saban and won more titles

That's a different scenario - the NFL and College Football are very different. Also, there has never been an NFL team that finished 19-0 and Clemson finished 15-0 in 2018-19, albeit they are the only other team to accomplish that.

I’d keep ours. Saban has won the natty with an undefeated team only once (2009). They won two of those five titles by backing into the Championship game or the Playoff without winning the division. They really didn’t earn those two; they were given a chance off reputation alone (especially 2011).

Our 15-0 season is far more special, meaningful, and memorable. Winning too often gets boring.

What a frickin troll!! You are the biggest Bama fan in the world simply reminding us of all they have won. Of course 5 is better than one. Thanks for reminding us, dickhead.

It’s too soon to talk about trading natty situations with Bama

We’re about to go on our own dynasty run. We will get to have the best of both worlds
