Ok great instead of good...semantics but we will use your word. Bill Belicheck's HEAD coaching record (we aren't talking DC anyway) was 36-44 at Cleveland and at New England without Brady 34-49. 'nuff said right back at you.

And I also have a hard time believing when teams started gashing us with the run at qb, I believe it started during the South Carolina game, he would have fixed that problem with ease. I think we are forgetting that the mind of the best defensive coach in the nfl is probably light years ahead of Defemsive coordinators in college

There is no Brady without Belichick no matter what you say. The chances were high that Brady doesn't get drafted nor does he even sign anywhere as UDFA if it weren't for Belichick. You sound absolutely ridiculous.

Look what Joe Brady did at LSU just using the Shotgun skeleton from Payton’s offense. Yea he’s light years ahead of anybody at the college level right now.

Utter nonsense! No one ever accused Belichick of being an offensive mind. Once again, Brady goes to Tampa and TB wins the Super Bowl his first year there. Without Brady, NE wasn't any good before him and hasn't been good since then. Brady made Belichick look better than he is as a HEAD coach.

You also claim 6 super bowls are meaningless so to say your credibility is questionable is being overly polite

Brady carried Bellichick, Brett Favre carried Curley Hallman, Aaron Rodgers carried McCarthy, Burrow carried Orgeron....need I go on!
This is the type of shite people post that don’t look at anything but espn highlights and started watching 3 years ago.
Take a look at how many superbowls Tom Brady won without a top ten - top five defense. (Hint….NEVER)
Look at the first three superbowls Brady played in and see what the defense did compared to the great offense
Brady is great no doubt about it but more than half of those Super Bowls were won by the BB defense.
Yes he struggled without a qb, name one coach in football that has had sustained success without one

NotaStarGazer- “6 super bowls sucks, never winning anything is elite”
Posted on 12/13/24 at 4:44 pm to Madking
And if super bowls were strictly won by having an elite qb, Peyton manning would have 7-8
Posted on 12/13/24 at 4:45 pm to Primeminister337
Marino would have 4-5, instead this guy has zero, which is ashame
Posted on 12/13/24 at 4:47 pm to Madking
The Super Bowls are VERY meaningful, and Tom Brady was the QB.

Reading this thread has been hilarious.
Plant baws all-in on Belichick sucks. Never stop never stopping, tRant.

Dude he had the mid 90s browns in Super Bowl contention and his Perkins-Earhart offense is the most multidimensional offense ever created.
I want to piggyback off those Cleveland Browns years. Belichick convinced Ozzie Newsome to become his President of Player Personnel in Cleveland. Belichick helped mold Newsome into that role. Belichick gets fired by Art Modell when Modell moves the franchise from Cleveland to Baltimore. Newsome stays on with Baltimore in the same role & later becomes GM for Ravens. Newsome builds the Ravens roster into a Super Bowl winner & stable, consistent franchise off of what he learned from Belichick in Cleveland.

I didn't say there weren't other players on the NE team starting. Now my counter, IF Belichick is such a great head coach, why couldn't he come close to a winning record at either Cleveland OR New England (without Brady). Once again 34-49 and 29-38 respectively.

Obviously there is an GIGANTIC area between a great HC and a garbage HC. Belichick is closer to the former than the latter but who in this thread has said "Belichick sucks". Hyperbole sometimes is a symptom of not having a validating stance on this issue...you just used hyperbole BTW. Once again, the ONLY successful years Belichick had anywhere as a HC, Brady was the QB. He has had many other years to disprove that.

Also, thanks for the 100 IQ, "you used hyperbole" diatribe.

You buffoon. You don't even know that Belichick began having input with the offensive game planning & adjustments? Here's quotes from Matt Cassell.
quote:
You're probably heard from 100 different people that the Patriots are a game plan offense. Here's what that means: We're going to watch the defense specifically to identify their tendencies, what they do situationally and what their philosophy is.
It starts with the defensive coordinator. They literally go through everything so you truly understand, historically speaking, where this guy comes from, what his background is and what his foundation is.
quote:
From there, we'd start to dissect the defense. On Tuesdays during game weeks, we would sit with Bill Belichick and go through the scouting report on every one of their DBs who we thought were going to play: corners, safeties, nickel backs, and sometimes even linebackers we thought we could take advantage of in the pass game. Then we'd go through strengths, weaknesses and an overall summary.
quote:
At the end of that session, we'd actually get to sit there and watch film with Bill, which was one of the most educational things for a young player: to see the game through Bill's eyes and understand what he was talking about. So, by the time we got in on Wednesday, we had a great understanding for why these plays are being called and what our matchups were.
Some of it could be as simplistic as, hey, this cornerback has great transition and quickness, but he's a little smaller and we think he struggles on the deep ball, so we can take our shots on this guy. Or, this safety has really good range, so we're going to have to make sure we do a really good job with our eyes when we're throwing the seam route to get him off his mark.
quote:
I specifically remember one game during my rookie year: we're playing Tampa Bay. In all of the film we'd watched to that point, they were a "two-Tampa" team, which means they played with two high safeties. And all of a sudden, they came out playing "post-safety", which means one safety in the middle of the field and man coverage across the board.
Well, our game plan was set up with a bunch of two-Tampa beaters, because that's what we had watched on film. That's what we prepared for all week.
So, at halftime, we went in and scratched the whole game plan. Bill said, ‘Look, this is what we're doing. This is what we've got to do in order to match what they're doing.' And he went up to the whiteboard and wrote out new plays.
After that, we knew the different plays and concepts that we were going to move forward with in the second half. We came out and had a great second half and won 28-0.

While using the same offensive philosophies he learned & used under Belichick in New England.
quote:
Bill Belichick: Tom Brady’s running the offense he’s run his whole career
quote:
Belichick was asked at his press conference if the offense Bruce Arians is running with the Bucs is different from the ones he ran before Brady came to Tampa. Belichick said “totally” and went on to say that the offense looks more like the one that Brady ran during their time together in New England.
“It’s the offense he’s run his whole career,” Belichick said. “Well, I mean, as it evolved here, but you know. The running game is the running game. The running game is different, but passing game’s the passing game. That’s pretty similar. I mean, you could call almost every play from the flare control to the protection, you know, similar to the way we do it.”

Once again, NO ONE (randomized capitalized phrase
) ever said Belichick sucks as you were alleging. That is hyperbole and like I said, shows you really didn't have anything to say of relevance.
