vastly better. Beating ND proves nothing and he time slot is pathetic. We'll get no exposure hardly.

Please tell me what beating a 6-6 Texas team would prove. Also how much exposure is LSU going to gain from playing in the Texas Bowl?

For selfish reasons I would have loved for the game to be played in houston. Would have gotten to see another game close to home. Also the time slot of the matchup was better. I think some of the thinking that went into it was that we are scheduled to have a home and home series with texas coming up. While I would have loved to play them while they are down I think a matchup against Notre Dame is a slightly better matchup. Either way it a chance to get some of our young guys IE Harris some more practice and experience. If Miles doesn't get Harris some meaningful snaps in a meaningless bowl game then I will be completely

Like a previous poster said I think that its better than playing Iowa or clemson or North Carolina... And Arkansas has a natural rival in Texas so I understand the appeal for an old SWC showdown. It will be like watching 1970's football. Now Shreveport would have been a screw job.

No. We've already played two games in or near Houston this season. I wanted the Music City Bowl against ND.

Oh ok and why exactly does LSU need more exposure? Let me guess, recruits.

Against Texas? In Houston? I would have. Better matchup in my opinion. Does anyone feel we got screwed? Why does Arkansas go to much farther south bowl than us? Norte Dame fine, but in Nashville? Not ideal. I feel Arkansas was put ahead of us in pecking order and we had better record?

This brings to mind my version of the Rant anthem. It is titled "All I Do Is Bitch". It goes a little something like this…

"All I do is bitch bitch bitch no matter what
Got bitching on my mind and I can never get enough
And every time I step up in the Rant
Everybody hands go UP
And they stay there
And they stay there
Up down up down
Cause all I do is bitch bitch bitch"

DJ Khaled got nothing on me.

when you have the kind of season we did, play the way we did on offense ( no disprect to our players)

and finish were we did at the end of the season

WE should count out blessings that we are even in a bowl game!

Our players will enjoy playing one more time, I trust our coaches do not waste this opportunity to use this game as a jump start on next season

a prime time game in houston against the home state's top historical team?

nah, i'd much rather LSU play in a state where they do little to no recruiting on a tuesday at 2pm

Nashville > Houston

Afghanistan > Texas

Notre Dame nationally > Texas nationally

Not being on primetime sucks, but everything else about this bowl is better IMO.

Yes!

Nobody wanted this toilet bowl in Nashville we're going to.
