Against Texas? In Houston? I would have. Better matchup in my opinion. Does anyone feel we got screwed? Why does Arkansas go to much farther south bowl than us? Norte Dame fine, but in Nashville? Not ideal. I feel Arkansas was put ahead of us in pecking order and we had better record?

Pretty sure Paul Bryant, Nick Saban, REC, ESPN, Landon Collins, Tom Ritter, Speedy Noil, Andrew Crutchfield, John Curtis, and Kirk Herbstreit all had roles in this screw job against LSU.

a prime time game in houston against the home state's top historical team?

nah, i'd much rather LSU play in a state where they do little to no recruiting on a tuesday at 2pm.

I thought it was such a no-brainer that I bought tickets 2 hours before the announcement thinking I would get a jump. Luckily there was an Arky fan giddy to make a bowl game. They were snatched up at $125 each and 2 hours after I spent $80 each.

Preferred Houston because it's closer, prime time, and against Texas. I like the ND matchup, but the weather will suck, time slot sucks, and it's not close. It's still better than playing Minnesota or Iowa.

We did start the season in Houston, how was the attendance then?

Let me start by saying......I'm not complaining about the bowl or matchup. But it does appear the conference takes care of other schools at LSU's expense when it comes to bowls.

With that being said the conference could easily justify the decision as a reward to LSU. We already played in NRG stadium to open the season and Nashville is a bowl location LSU has never attended. Plus we are matched up against an "historical power".

Closeology is the biggest issue for LSU fans and why we were avoided by the Florida bowls often in the old format.

Secondly. Arkansas and Texas are old "rivals".

Interested in knowing how many fans that wanted Nashville are actually planning to travel there.

I don't think Arkansas was selected over us.

But I would have liked to have gone to the game in Houston. I doubt I make the trip to Nashville.

No. I'm tired of playing games in Houston and Dallas. These games provide a boring, sterile environment and are always a pain in the arse. From staying downtown to getting to the stadium (especially Dallas to Arlington), it isn't worth the hassle anymore. I remember our hotel this was year was close to Memorial Park Golf Course. It wasn't terribly far (15 or so miles), but took a good 30 minutes getting to the stadium. And then from there, you've got to park, etc...at least Nashville is a significantly better setup and layout than Houston.

Since 2010, we've played 3 games in Dallas and 1 in Houston. Two Houston trips in one year is a little much.

And to the fans complaining about distance...Baton Rouge/New Orleans to Nashville is virtually no different than BR/Nola to Atlanta. We've always had good turnouts in Atlanta for the most part.

I would.

Texas or ND? What's its matter.

Easier drive and weather wouldn't be a factor.
Being as we started year off there only drawback

vastly better. Beating ND proves nothing and he time slot is pathetic. We'll get no exposure hardly.
