I have had two separate players on the team tell me they were calling Jefferson a N word.
I also have heard that this was going on in the bar and then Jefferson waited outside for him with a bunch of his teammates.
I have tried not to ask too much about it, because I just want it to go away.

Big difference between getting yourself in a bar fight and getting pulled out of your car and beaten.
If they pulled my kid out of his car to beat the crap out of him (with 15 to 50 players as their backup) I'd press the frick outta' those charges.
I had a guy assault me once (his defense was that I'd been rude to him before). The police took him away and his dad called begging for me to ask the police to drop the charges. I told his dad his kid was a hood and he was going to end up hurting someone, so the charges stay. That hood is now in Angola for attempted murder on someone else.

This is the funniest part to me. Are people that naive about what happens in Tigerland? They think that he honked, so he just got his assed kicked. Come on, that doesnt happen ANYWHERE. If he got beat up, he instigated it somehow.

FTR, I have a quite a few friends in the service and have witnessed quite a few others in the service who, when they get drunk, all of a sudden are Billy Badass b/c they've been "trained". Servicemen pick as many fights as any drunk college student, if not moreso. Not to so this one did or didn't, but to condemn someone for fighting with someone in the service doesn't make sense. I thank them for all that they do, but that doesn't mean they can't be as much of an a-hole as the next guy.

You can't tell me you've never seen some drunk tough guy nut up b/c someone "looked at him wrong" or some BS. Imagine that same drunk person getting a horn blown in his face. People do stupid stuff for stupid reasons. I mean, people have gotten shot in the head in traffic for honking the horn.
