I would be happy...only because I believe we’re going to be even better next year....with what we have returning...and the recruiting class we’ve got coming in

Our mind set should be Natty or bust. That said 10-2 would not make me jump off the bridge provided the two losses are competitive and we have a great bowl game.

10-2 would be great for this team… I just have a gut feeling our O-line and running game will struggle this year… the 1st three games are crucial IMO to get the kinks out..

Sure, if 4 of those 10 are wins over Bama, Aggy, Florida and Auburn. That can overcome, say unexpected losses to Central Michigan and maybe Ole Miss (I think the Rebels will be vastly improved on defense).

10-2 should be the floor for LSU. There is no reason they shouldn’t be 9-0 against teams not named Bama, Florida and A&M. Those three are a toss up.

On what planet would any team lose to Central Michigan but beat Alabama?

In 2017 we lost to Troy, and just two weeks later beat SEC West champion Auburn. So yes, it can happen, and O knows from experience.

10 wins is a great season,
context, as always, is needed.

If we go 10-2, but those two losses are blowout losses to Bama and another SEC team, then it's not a good year, because it would show how far we are from the top of the SEC.

Now, 10-2 with 1-point losses to Bama and another SEC team means we're right there, and I think we'd all be fine with that.

Context.

With you for next year as long as we develop a couple or three OL from our current group that are at least average SEC players.
10-2 should be the floor for this season. With our experience and the QB situations around the conference, I think we could be in the playoff this year IF the new coordinators hit the ground running.

Yes, I would be very happy with a 10-2 record with a New Years 6 Bowl.

Yeah, I would take 10-2 for sure. That's a solid season, probably a NY6 bowl.

In 2017, Auburn finished the season ranked 10th.

If you expect Bama to finish this season ranked 10th, okay, I can go along with this, but I certainly don’t expect them to finish that low.

Anyone not happy should we go 10-2 this year will never be happy. We go 11-1 or 12-0 in the SEC and we are in the playoffs. 10-2 would be great this year. Too many unanswered questions to think we can go 12-0.
