I've been paying close attention the last few weeks whether we would we get in the top 12 by this point in the season. Well here we are and like some other posters have said, it appears we would be around 14th because of the G5 team that would automatically qualify.
Thank God the expanded playoffs are not in place this season as that would be awful just missing out.
Going forward, we know we have to go at least 10-2 as 9-3 won't cut it.

No - OM loss would knock us out of the playoffs just like it may result in JD getting screwed out of the Heisman.
Never wish bad but if Nix got a targeting hit not called like JD did against AL and sat after the 1st Q, Karma will have won out.

Obviously no. Currently there are no 3 loss teams in the top 12. We are 13. Of the three loss teams the committee seems to imply by this that LSU is the best of them.

If we had a 12 team playoff this year we would be looking at that Ole Miss game with even more disgust than we do now. We would easily be in.

If the playoff were held this year, OU and LSU would be the first 2 out. The Top11 + Tulane would go to the playoff.
If the playoff were held this year, we needed to get into the Top11.
To get into a NY6 this year, we needed to get in the Top10. The NY6 will be the Top10 + Tulane and Louisville. (OleMiss, OU, LSU first 3 out)
