Would Mulkey bring HVL back even if she wanted back in?

Hope not. She was definitely a weak link this year

Kim’s little Kim jr experiment should have ended a long time ago. She was never going to be a pg. way too slow

Absolutely she would. Depth killed us this year.

I've seen several interviews where HVL insisted (maybe too much) that she was going to be a good WNBA player. I appreciate the confidence but it reminded me of those American Idol audition interviews where the off key "singer" was positive they were going to Hollywood.

Yeah of course. She’d be excellent off the ball.

She is not a true PG and played out of position a lot this year. However, they didn’t really have a choice.

Two things that are going to amaze people next year:

1) Everyone will be better next year on offense without the driving lane-plugging Reese down low. The offense has been forced to go through the worst shooter on the team. Fla'Jae and Mikayla will be be far more effecient with lanes to drive.

1) If we had a true PG to run with HVL and she just spotted up and shot 3's, she would be a different player. The one more like the AA from last year.

Smith is gonna be big for us if she can get healthy. Hopefully Del Rosaio can slim down, toughen up and be a board eater. We will be far more effecient on offense w/o Reese.

We have several girls that need to hit up GOLO and a tread mill in the offseason

And it ABSOLUTELY would be a bad move...AGAIN!!! HVL has been the weak link defensively all season long. She's slow as hell in her lateral movement and just hasn't learned to be a good defender.

She has no vision and will never be a true PG. The one aspect of her game that is legit (SG) was never really shown because she was often too tired offensively from chasing her opponent on the defensive end. She is repeatedly beaten off the dribble and expends so much energy trying to recover, teams pick on her. CC was the worst possible matchup for her.

Not to mention teams get up into her space when she has the ball and she can't handle pressure. Her vision is so poor that oftentimes on inbound plays she can't even spot open players and force passes that get tipped or are intercepted.

This. Williams would’ve averaged 20+ on 95% of teams this year. She has an elite mid range game and is a very strong player. I wish the offense would’ve ran through her more at the elbow, and if it’s not there then you feed Reese or Morrow.

Yes, she absolutely would. She's said all along she wished she had 2 years to work with HVL.

You still want her, because injuries happen.

Here's my question.

And maybe I don't know enough about WNBA, but is HVL really a lock to make a WNBA roster? I mean Alexis Morris got cut before it even started.

Is it really worth the risk? Or is HVL not a risk to get cut? I feel like she would be, no?
