Weak schedule, opponents have lost 67% of the games when playing BCS conf teams
Cant run the option

Eli Manning 2000

Mathew Stafford 2006 (#1 Draft Pick in 2009)
135/256 1749 7 TD 13 INT 12 Sacks 52.7 %

Jarrett Lee 2008
143/269 1873 13 TD 16 INT 8 Sacks 53.2%

Personally, I will take this guy's stats:

Jordan Jefferson 2008-2009
159/266 1840 15 TD 5 INT 31 Sacks 59.7% (It should also be noted that in spite of being sacked 31 times Jefferson still has 277 rushing yards compared to the -97 of Jarrett Lee)

Miles needs to continue to give JL some game reps so he'll stay. The kid has earned playing time.

I think some LSU fans feel like USC fans did a few years ago with John D. Booty and Mark Sanchez...

They knew Sanchez (the backup) was a better QB but JD didnt lose because USC's defense was big time stout... Now look at them in the NFL...Sanchez starting, JD Booty not.

I'm pretty sure the object of the game is not to see who's QB throws for the most yards.

Im pretty sure that a QB with any type of accuracy downfield hits Trindon & TT on those tosses for long gains & TDs, which would have increased passing yards significantly.

Seriously? The meerkat offense? Multiple blown timeouts? Deer in the headlights? Everyone that posts on here, all media reports, and coaches comments are that that we are bringing JJ along slowly. Really? Why? Didnt hear any of that for Lee, did we? Thats because they thought Lee was capable. Obviously they have doubts about JJ.

And as for your argument about playing from behind? What was our stats vs Fla this year? 22 pass plays (with 26, 13, & 8 as longest comps). A close loss last year was to Bama. What did they ask Lee to do? 35 pass plays (with 30, 29, & 22 as longest comps).

8 games in, and you think Wash, Vandy, ULL, Moo St, Ga, Aub, and Tulane are quality teams? Any QB on our roster would have beaten those teams.

According to the Quarterback Ratings, Jefferson does not seem to be doing too shabby.

QB Ratings

If I'm reading it right looks like only Mallet and Tebow in front of him out of the SEC Quarterbacks?

No, only very few fans actually think the best qb is on the bench.

So now JL is Sanchez (top-10 pick), Colt McCoy (Heisman favorite), and Troy fricking Aikmen

This is the best comedy I've ever heard

JL should not wait until after Spring Practice to make a decision. He should have a pretty good idea of the score by the end whatever bowl we play in, if not before. Northwestern could sure use him, and he would have two years of eligibility.

Absolutely! He still has time to win 2 Heismans, and be the #1 overall pick in the draft

Why should J. Lee transfer he should stick it out. He says he loves LSU and will take whatever role he is given. Would hate to see him puss out like other tigers and transfer just for playing time. He should stay because he loves the school and the team see R.J. JACKSON.

The whole problem with your argument is you are comparing Jeffersons Sophomore year stats to all of those guys stats as freshman. Add in the rest of those guys Sophomore stats and see who you'd take.

It's unfair that everyone acts like this is Jeffersons freshman year when comparing him to Lee and Lee hasn't even gotten a shot to prove himself his Sophomore year.

And the whole Lee redshirt argument doesn't work bc Jefferson playing significantly last year is far better for the development of a QB than a year of redshirting could be. Imagine if Lee had started two games in '07 before last year. I believe we would still have him as our starter. (I know that would never have happened bc Flynn was great, but just as an example.)

If the guys goal is to eventually play in the NFL then I would think he would want to play while in college. If he doesnt get that chance then why wouldnt he go where he can play?

Do you think that guys have a dream to be on an NFL practice squad for their entire career? Hell no they want to play. Its the same thing with college players.

Lee is a redshirt Sophmore genius, meaning this is Jefferson's second year in the system as last season was Lee's second.. and please tell me how 2 games is significant?

You've been keeping records on this? What are the numbers then?

Also, even if only 3 people on the Rant believed JL was the best QB on the team, they could be right, too.
