This bolds well for Lee

First, its bodes.

Second, you just proved you have to put one down, to lift the other up. Congrats, conditional fan.

This kid got his arse handed to him last year and it was obvious he was not ready to be a starter in the SEC. All he did in the offseason was work his butt off despite all the shite he took from dick heads like you and still wants to be a Tiger even if it means riding the pine.

It wasn't obvious to Miles last yr.

As for "All he did in the offseason was work his butt off..." you need to add that while he was doing this, he also lost the starting job to Jefferson (an 18-year-old with only 2 starts under his belt).

The man said to be a back up like matt cassel u would have to have a starting q.b. like tom brady and JJ will never be good Q.B.!

JJ is the starting qb and JL the back up, So his point is asinine! And thank you Mr. Unconditional Fan

Have you not been paying attention the last 5 years? Miles doesn't care about keeping the fanbase happy.

But thats where you are wrong. Miles coaches his way for enough games to get the fans pissed off enough to really wonder what the hell he is thinking and then right when more and more people start to doubt him he changes his gameplan like he did with Auburn and then all of a sudden the fans are happy again. Its been a revolving situation like this year after year and people like you obviously dont see it.

Every LSU fan should be unconditional.

bullshite it does, especially with the new rules cutting down on the plays the last few years.

23 sacks and 20+ three and outs, also cut down on the number of plays LSU has run. JJ is a sack machine. He had more sacks last year than Lee, in 1/4 the playing time, with the same Offensive Line. He's 100th in the nation in sacks, and leads the 100th tanked offense in the nation, ans despite 400 yards last game, is still last in the SEC.

Wanna know why all these teams above up keep losing, and LSU never moves up in the BCS? Look no further than our offensive leader. Because its not our defense.

The freshman QB from Tulane in his 2nd start, playing against the #15th ranked LSU defense threw for more yards than JJ did against the 114th ranked D. And no BS about vanilla playcalling. Crowton didnt go vanilla with Lee, even when he struggled last year. We are vanilla, because we have no choice with our QB.

Miles is playing not to lose, as our close games have attested. And our 7 wins? They have come against teams that have lost 67% of the games when playing BCS conf teams.

At some point you gotta see the handwriting on the wall.

Did anyone ever think Miles maybe letting him play second string to get his head back together? I really felt bad for JL last year. He has a great arm but was in way over his head way to early in his development as a player. LSU had no choice but to play him. I think he was getting pretty stressed out by the end of last year. I am glad JJ was able to step up so quickly. JL may have a better arm but JL may give LSU the better chance to win right now. At any rate both kids are great kids and deserve our respect and gratitude. I hope things work out for both of them. I am a JJ and JL fan. Both have different talents.

If it came down to the last two minutes of play and LSU down, they will lose mostly likely lose because jj will take a sack on a 4th an short like the Florida game. wats it gonna take for miles to see the light!!!!!!!!!!

Jarrett Lee has done absolutely nothing to deserve playing time this year. Can one person on this forum name me one game in which he played well?

How do you know? Are you watching practice and scrimmages? How do you know he has done "nothing" to deserve any playing time this year?

Lee played well vs Auburn last year. Well enough to win.

funny how some folks cant see the forest for the trees. What about the other way around?

23 sacks
20+ three and outs
100th in the nation in sacks
100th ranked offense in the nation
last in the SEC
Weak schedule, opponents have lost 67% of the games when playing BCS conf teams
Cant run the option

He threw a pick six on one of his first throws against auburn last year, how does that make for a good game? And I'm not saying Jordan Jefferson is miles ahead of Jarrett Lee, but when he throws a pass I dont cringe and pray that it isnt a pick six. He is smarter with the football

and if you really want to talk stats, then how about 13td to 16int(6 returned for touchdowns) and a 53% completion percentage. JJ isnt a phenom quarterback, he isnt a great quarterback, but he manages the game far better than lee did in any game last year.

We'll see. If he struggles against Bama maybe Lee gets a shot. Don't know. But if JJ struggles against bama and LSU loses w/o giving JL a shot, total meltdown shall ensue.

WTF? A "total meltdown shall ensue." By whom? Where--On The Rant?
(specks1, this is not directed at you.) Look, Miles is responsible for deciding who his starter is at QB, and he has his finger on the pulse of his team and any issues they might have.

Who cares what we think or speculate? Miles knows, along w/his staff, what's going on in his own locker room. Just as we read and post and know what's going on in TD.com land. We react and register our opinions on LSU football and that's great, but that's the extent of it.

Telling ya, that bye week fueled this "Free Gen. Lee" crap and some other crazy threads, just as having Tulane at home (a glorified scrimmage)after Auburn, has provided another 2 weeks (w/one left) before the 'Bama game. You guys want to pull JJ and throw J. Lee in there after a 7-2 record in 9 starts before, during or after losing to Ala. (which hasn't happened yet)?

Jefferson's only loss this season was to No. 1 Florida. Yes, he had a dismal gm., but he was hardly solely responsible for that one. Face it, drop your man-crush on Lee and accept that Lee's just insurance in case JJ gets hurt.

and the 5-8 passing from JL proves that he has made so many strides from last year? his first throw against Auburn last week was almost picked for a td. He is an incredible talent, and in practice im sure he's a beast, but he cannot handle the in game pressure. Les gave him so many chances last year. As far as sacks are concerned, our O-line has been dreadful, you really want to put the majority of the blame on jj for those sacks?...really?

Again, not directed at the author, since so many others cite that Auburn game as Lee's brightest moment (since it was a 26-21 comeback win), and add personal bias along with it.

Hatch started and rotated w/Lee, who threw a pick-six to put LSU behind 14-3 at the half. Hatch got hurt late in the 3rd qtr., Lee took over and went 11-22, 182 yds., 2 Tds, 1 INT.

K. Williams TD pass to D-Byrd on the last play of the 3rd gave LSU a 17-14 lead. Lee was clutch at the end, with a 16-yd. TD to LaFell w/1:03 left, giving LSU a 26-21 win. But Lee also created the deficit before the rally in the final qtr., and needed a TD pass from a tailback to spark that rally.
