maybe 20+ years ago but the job has drastically changed from what it used to be
would I prefer him representing LSU instead of Alleva? Yes. Does that mean he should get looked at for the job? Not a chance.

Not at LSU he wouldn’t. You need someone who can actually communicate in plain English, considering he/she is the face of the school’s athletic program.

Well the former baseball coach did a pretty decent job as AD, I'd be wiling to give him a chance if it means showing Alleva the door.

He would make a good high profile figurehead, but if he was the guy the only decision he would make would be what he ate for lunch. The board and TAF would be the decision makers.
