Not even close!Sewanee was a charter member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association in 1894, and also a charter member of the Southeastern Conference upon its formation in 1932, but by this time its athletic program had declined precipitously and Sewanee never won a conference football game in the eight years it was an SEC member. The Tigers were shut out 26 times in their 37 SEC games, and were outscored by a combined total of 1163–84. Who was this guy!

shite and we bitch about the 90s , pretty interesting though what would make a team fall off that bad , even Tulane thinks that is ludicrous ...

No matter his failures, he's probably still ten times greater than you.

I'm too young, I only go on message board propaganda....

was that when the Saban era started?

He just had to get his players in the system, because there's no way he wins with Dinardo's kids

Malveto was, hands-down, the worst hiring decision ever made in the SEC. Look what only 50% of mal veto has done to our ST this year

"Rip `em up!
Tear `em up!
Leave `em in the lurch.
Down with the heathen.
Up with the Church.
Yea, Sewanee's Right!"

Just a quick goofy google search to discover the 1899 Sewanee team was voted the greatest college football team ever. Nice since they beat out Bama's 1961 team for the honor.

Doesn't matter. They did this in 1899.

Known as the "Iron Men," with just 13 men they had a six-day road trip with five shutout wins over Texas A&M; Texas; Tulane; LSU; and Ole Miss. It is recalled memorably with the phrase "...and on the seventh day they rested."

Let that sink in....

ETA: Curly worst SEC hire ever!
