See, these last two posts are from stupid people. There is simply no defense of the coaching last night. He screwed up. This isn't hindsight. We were freaking out in the game thread when he was making these dumbass decisions

Just a bizarre game. LSU hit the ball hard but right at them.
Poche's FB got flat and they popped six straight off him.

Oh please, last night wasn't "just baseball" and today isn't "hindsight." It was literally a terrible managerial failure one on top of the other. Chi had no fricking business being at 1st, Mainieri never pulls his starter until the damage is already done. And then when he gets to his bullpen he has zero clue wtf he's doing, overplaying the dumbass lefty/right matchups way too much. And don't get even get me started on not hunting a Diechman in the 11th. That is literally indefensible. There is zero fricking excuse. That is bunt situation very time. No question, not debatable.
All of these things have been talked about here at length all season long, hell, they've been talked about for years. So no, none of this is hindsight is 20/20. Mainieri is a terrible game day manager.

CPM is NOT a good manger - never has ben at LSU .. I never got what the deal was with him . LSU has always won - when they do - in SPITE of CPM ... JMHO
