Worst game of Paul Mainieri's career at LSU?

Leaving Poche in two batters too long
Not bunting Stevenson
Burning your closer for 4 innings without a save opportunity
Not bunting Deichmann; or at least pinch hitting someone who could bunt
Letting Chinea swing on first pitch after 4 pitch walk from new pitcher
Pinch hitting for Sciambra: killed Zardon for no reason; Deichmann had no productive ABs
Chinea being at first in general
Missing anything?

At least this year Mainieri isn't leaving any surprises for June.

I think you summed it up well.
On top of that, a couple of fluke plays that go Kentucky's way. Difficult game to watch and almost unbelievable loss.

Hopefully he gets all of full retard out in March

Yes, he should have left Bouman start the 7th inning against Houston.

Pulling Sciambra and putting Pap in. Why? Pulling Scivicque for a pinch runner. Why? Would these two hitters have made a difference in their next several at bats? Yes!

Lots of questions I'd ask Paul if I were a reporter.

Not bunting Deichmann
This is what bothered me the most.

Houston
Obviously a more important game where he fricked up with pitching decisions...
...but tonight, he fricked up as much as he could as a manager for several innings straight. Like, so bad it made you wonder if he had given Pete Rose and Jarred Cosart a hot tip on the game tonight.

I'd say that's a run of the mill Mainieri coached game.

Pulling Sciambra
its all about match ups, lol.

Paul the best talent in the country and coaches them like this tonight. LSU could have so many better coaches that this cat.

Didn't get the Sciambra move either. He has 0 ABs vs. Lefties. That's messed up.

Even if you are right, LSU can't exactly just fire him

Houston
Houston. This may be second but nowhere near as important

This game fricking sucked! CPM blew it. Hope we can salvage the series.
