The notion that lsu football would go on some kind of significant probation is even dumber than the idea lsu basketball is going on significant probation. Everyone knows it’s not going to happen and never was going to happen.

Coach Vince McMahon inherited a dumpster fire
His emphasis on the fundamentals will pay off in the long run
You can’t see it now on the court, but he’s building a solid and clean program
Many cfb analysts compare him to John Beilein. A good man who builds programs

I will always be optimistic...and he'll certainly get his 2-3 years but this was the same rhetoric that we gave Trent johnson as well. I bet we could pull up threads from the 2nd-3rd year that he was here and find similar posts.
With NIL and transfer portal it should be much easier to turn around a program than in the past. Fundamentals are great and all but you need to be able to get the talent here as well to have success.

Woodward has made hires that has LSU football surging back to the top in a hurry, the baseball program looking to be back at elite level this year and women’s basketball tops in the country.
