This is such a tired line. Every single coach in the sport leans on his coaches to help run a program. No one man can do it all. If that weren't the case then why does Saban, the GOAT, have coordinators at all?
Let's give Orgeron a chance to fix it before people start attacking him. And so we're clear, the Bama fans HATE Golding and don't understand why Saban keeps him.

Meyer at least has a specialty. Coordinator or not his teams clearly have a distinct offensive identity that comes from him.

Head Coach-in-waiting has not worked well elsewhere. Remember Muschamp at Texas?
It’s smoke and mirrors bullsnot. All it does is give the coordinator more leverage to negotiate a better deal somewhere else. Muschamp used it to get the UF job. It made Mack Brown a lame duck. Sounds good on paper. I bet Brooks Kubena would love it.

The Saints OC literally said "hey I heard you guys want to mimic the saints offense, this guy could do that for you". Then O hired him. O didn't figure that out, it was placed nicely in his lap and he drank it like the good mutt he is.
