Many folks have correctly pointed out that he's going to do his due diligence and act when he has something actionable. He himself has stated repeatedly that he is a good listener. He used the old adage "the Lord gave you one mouth and two ears". He's going to assess everything ala classic SWOT: strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
He also understands politics, the Louisiana landscape and all that entails. Again, he mentioned that he wants to get everyone rowing in the same direction and stop the petty bickering and infighting. His style is not to bludgeon people but to find some common ground and reach consensus.

I don't know I have very high expectations for the athletic director of the school I support. I hope he kicks it into gear quickly or the honeymoon will be over before it started. Don't get on the bad side of the fanbase.

I think most people understand that not everything will get done over night.
Or just because some people don't like manieri doesn't mean every one in the fanbase wants him fired and will want Scott fired too if he doesn't.
Some of y'all are really looking to be mad at something that isn't there.
