Woody’s record for men’s basketball hires is what we should all be angry about. I’ll always be salty about him and Tate firing Wade and giving our men’s basketball program the death penalty.

I fully understand. Deboer was a better hire than BK. His contract won't look so bad going to the playoffs.

If that happens, you will be correct. If he crashes and burns after being handed a much better situation than BK, it will look much worse.

Woodward signed the original 10-year, 75M contract in 2017 - the first fully guaranteed contract like that in CFB. He completely changed the market for HCs in CFB in a really bad way by doing so.
It was incredibly similar to the situation with ND and Kelly.
FSU and their fans were happy to see someone take Fisher off their hands without having to deal with a buyout.

The last 3 football coaches won a national championship at LSU. Kelly has zero chance of this. He probably won’t ever make a playoffs
