speaking of Matt Stafford and check out his age? where is he, what league is he playing in and how much money he is making? on the other hand, JR showed his metal again yesterday (1 Int. and O TD's) after going in for the guy that replaced him. Colt stayed in college but he could have left for the NFL; even with his talent, he realizes the value of an education. so, is it just all conjecture?

If the o-line isn't better next year I don't give a frick if we have Drew Brees, we're fricked. Did you see how lack of protection affected Brees in the Dallas game? You can't underestimate the need for a solid o-line.

while this is all correct, it doesn't exuse his poor play

you can't sit here and say, "i excuse jefferson's poor play b/c the o-line played poor". fact is, when you have the opportunity to make plays, you have to make them. he missed ALOT of opportunities and needs to improve

imho, all 3,4,5, etc. QB's should be ready on a moments notice. and this goes for all other position players on the team.

I just don't think JJ was as bad as many of you make him out to be. Does he need to improve? Without a doubt. But if the o-line doesn't get better we'll never establish a balanced attack and we'll be in the same situation again.

I can't believe the amount of people in this "fan" base ready to throw a sophomore under the bus.

A Sophomore ????
hell, where was he when we were throwing a redshirted Freshman under the bus.

i am not talking about the o-line, but yes...they also need to imrpove, as does every other offensive position (the main reason a o-coord change is needed).

there isn't one position on offense you can sit back and say, "nope, we're good there"...not even TE

i don't think Jefferson was the worst qb in d1 football, but i'd say half of the qb's in the country had better seasons

Which was equally as bad last year with Lee. The difference is one QB did things to lose the game for you, the other didn't do things to win games for you.

He doesn't realize talent doesn't=good. It's the potential to be good. We have the potential to be as good, but out coaches have not developed that talent.

we have the potential to be good but so do the other teams he mentioned and whereas their talent is better their potential for success has a higher degree of certainty than our lesser talent..coaching or not. our talent is way down but you clowns would rather bash proven winners than accept that fact. two people have sent the program into a tailspin...ryan perriloux and gary crowton. one is gone and hopefully the other is soon to follow.

No he doesn't. Why is he a "dumb QB?" No one in the media ever called Lee a dumb QB and he was fricking awful last year.

I agree, neither has yet played as they should have.
now IMO, JJ had it easier as the coaches have protected him some.
with JL, there was not protection, nor did he have this year's Defense either.

BOTH have been thrown out to the lions and been allowed to catch the criticism.....
BUT......
THE FANS ARE STARTING TO SEE THRU THE FOG

for the record, i think lee and jefferson both suck and if chris garrett doesnt pan out, we are going to be in serious trouble for a couple more year, especially when zack lee goes pro in baseball

He doesn't have it between the ears...? Based on what? Poor clock management by Miles and crew? Based on the large amount of sacks? He did well in the 5 wide set we ran in the latter part of the year. I think that's where the future of this offense is.. 5 wide and motioning slot in on running plays.

fricking rantards like to say that JJ did not improve.. well -- prove it.

it doesnt take a doctor to realize someones arm is cut off

and you should never associate development with lee or jefferson

sorry but you are making no sense...

development happens when training and nurturing is provided....I do not see where neither has been trained and/or therefor developed.

now, if you do not see that BOTH JL and JJ have a lot of raw talent, you are blind.

I am much older and have seen MANY QBs, you would have deemed "throwaways" and yet they flourished later in their careers....

not everyone matures at the same rate....
you must be able to project and train...if you do not train someone, you can not expect a good performance.

when someone is going to be held accountable, he must be given the tools...neither has been given the tools to succeed. (coaching)
