ive heard it will be your permanent 3 plus the teams you didnt play the last two years. Some teams will have an extra opponent they played.
If that were the case, LSU would have:
- Arkansas
- Ole Miss
- Texas A&M
- Texas
- Auburn
- Missouri
- Georgia
- Tennessee
- Kentucky
Which would mean our “alternate” schedule (assuming they rotate all non-permanent opponents in the same season) would be:
- Arkansas
- Ole Miss
- Texas A&M
- Alabama
- Florida
- Vanderbilt
- South Carolina
- Oklahoma
- Mississippi State
Depending on how the home/away splits worked out, that would actually be fairly balanced for LSU. The schedule with UGA, Texas, and Tennessee is probably harder at the top, but the “alternate” is probably more balanced top to bottom. (ETA: On second thought nah, I think UGA/Texas /Tenn is definitely a tougher schedule. But it could be a lot worse.)
It would be pretty wild for teams like Texas, Ole Miss, and Tennessee who have had cakewalk SEC schedules the past 2 years though. Texas for example would have to play:
- Texas A&M
- Oklahoma
- Arkansas
- LSU
- Alabama
- Tennessee
- Ole Miss
- South Carolina
- Missouri
That’s a fricking meat grinder of a schedule.

If the football gods smile at us we will get some symmetry with:
Bama / State / Tenn / Texas
then
Auburn / Florida / Georgia / OU
This way we keep two rival games AND get a heavyweight from the East AND take on blue blood Tex / OU every year. Can’t beat that!

Will play half of remaining 12 in year one and other half year two. Year three and four repeat one and two home and away. Cool that over 4 year period you will play all home and away.

There's almost no chance Arch goes pro this year.

That would have the Cows with a returning senior QB and LSU with a first year starter or transfer QB if we play next year.

For the remaining 6 SEC games?
Florida
Kentucky
Mississippi State
Auburn
South Carolina
Vandy
Might as well pick teams we could go 9-0 against
