O line . Takes more than 1.2 seconds for that type of play to develop . We have o lineman getting pancaked and waiving at rushers. Hell, we are lucky to get a clean handoff completed in the backfield .

Man, my vision of the offense before the season was a lot of deep passing. Jayden Daniels was killing people with the deep ball in 2023.

Nuss is pedestrian. Why has Brian Kelly labored this an brought forth prairie biscuits for an offensive line. At this point in his tenure he should have All-Americans rolling through this place. I do look forward to seeing what happens when LSU finishes the year unranked. Some lively conversations no doubt in store for Tiger Nation. Kelly is god awful.

The simple answer is the OC isn’t calling deep routes or slow developing routes because the OL cannot give the QB any time to throw. He’s getting hit on at least 50-60% of throws. So we’re left to dink and dunk against 5-7 dropping in coverage. Lots of plays no one is open.

Every team we play is more creative calling offensive plays that Sloan. Every team.

Nuss can’t throw anything but rainbows downfield, and even then, only to the right. This offense is so easy to scheme for most middle school coaches could shut it down.

you want Chicken to censor posters?

Why not just allow idiots to post what they want and other posters can dispute with facts.

Freedom, you know.

Nuss has never thrown a consistent deep ball

That's true.

But it's also true that he's been very good on crossing routes between the hashes. Yet, for reasons only known to him, Sloan avoids these routes like the plague. He'd rather draw up a dozen long routes at the LOS in hopes one breaks for 7 yards. He also loves the 3rd & 6 concept where the QB likes to throw from one has all the way to the other boundary (a throw that has to travel appx. 25 yards in the air) to hopefully gain 7.

We are constantly facing deep thirds, which is hard to go deep against, and also, speed is nice, but you need physical receivers on deep routes, because you are usually going to have contact and be covered.
