Good. More INTs for the DBU.

I've seen this posted here before, but have no links to quotes from coaches or anything else to confirm it. Nevertheless, I hope like hell that it's true. I'd be much happier facing a Wisconsin team trying to run the kind of offense you describe than one running the traditional power running game that Wisconsin has been running for the last couple of decades, especially since they really haven't had time to recruit the kind of players they would need to run the new system.

My guess is that they will still, at least for this year, rely on their big, physical (albeit inexperienced) offensive line and great RBs to establish a power running game as their offensive bread and butter, maybe mixing in some other stuff occasionally. I hope you're right and I'm wrong.

Sure, I can post a link in the morning. This info is coming from a guy that watches the practices. So check back in the morning and I will get the link.

Or they, like most teams, have a spread package in their offense and they are just going over it in practice?

I seriously doubt they abandon the traditional power run offense they usually have and go to a full blown 4 wide spread... especially considering they have some studs at RB and 0 studs at WR.

That switch should play to out advantage. We have a ton of talent and speed at LB and DB......not so much at DT......

LSU will roll Wisky no matter what offense they try to run.

LSU recruits to pound the crap out of teams that specialize in this stuff.

I really hope you're not trolling here. Breaking in a new system is not a good idea with the defense we'll have this season

Even if this was true, good God, we were the wrong team to first try that stuff out on.

You guys;

-don't have the personal for it
-are trying it out for the first time in what will amount to a home crowd for the opposition (think getting too loud, and players making huge mistakes because not being familar with the scheme)
-Melvin Gordon can't catch
-you guys are almost as slow as Iowa
-brand new WRs and TEs trying this stuff out including a half arse dual threat passer and a statue/average arm injured shoulder QB seems very legit.

I think it's all bullshite though

The op is clearly a Nebraska fan, not sure why you are replying to him like he is a wisky fan

I definitely noticed the additions. For instance, seeing additional read-option looks, additional motion packages, bunched WRs and some of the pitch game

2.) As interesting as a development watching read options, pitches, and option counters is; I still struggle with seeing how effective they can be with it with Joel Stave and if a package built specifically for Tanner will be more positive than negative. I'm too sold on dual qbs, but watching what's getting implemented and knowing the QBs gearing up to play for WI, the next few years could be looking mighty different.

Yeah exactly. They are going to mix the spread stuff in and try to catch us napping.

I'll be this is a headfake for the news media to pick up and try to fool LSU. I'd be very surprised if Wisky doesn't come out looking like the same old team we've seen for the past decade.

Yeah, they are not going to go away from their bread and butter with a back like Gordon and that much beef up front.

I currently reside in Wisky and keep up with the enemy. They're not installing a new offense. They're adding more down field packages so they're not so one dimensional. They have possibly the best running back duo in the country. They will aim to prove it.
