Or maybe they had this other RB named James White?

So you are saying he will run all over LSU? and just because he was 3rd string and only played in the powder puff games Wisky he will be a dominant player...no doubt we will have our hands full with MG...but clement no dont believe this will happen...He might be good when they play in there cupcake schedule but not buyin it against the Tigers

And yes, Fournette is a better pure athlete than Gordon. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that Fournette is faster than Gordon even though he outweighs him by almost 20 lbs.

I can't let that go... MGIII is one of the highest rated RBs in NCAA football. Is he the fastest, no... but maybe he is the fastest at recognizing a hole which matters more. Maybe MGIII burst from a dead stop to full speed is greater. Maybe his cut ability might be more developed. Perhaps the ability to carry tacklers draped on his legs is greater. Their is a lot more to being a great athletic back then speed. Which MGIII btw has plenty. Gordon's proven at this level, he at this point is a superior athlete. Fournette has not and any argument you make to the contrary is pure speculation on your part and hyperbole. Hell, LSU practices have been closed to the media, how do you really even know anything that has been said is legit. He has his chance to prove me wrong. I can't wait.

On Wisconsin!!!

It's a valid point. The gamelog shows >60% of his production came in games against a) teams that went 1-11 last year and b) an FBS team.

Watching that highlight video posted earlier in the thread reinforces this point. You can't help but notice very lopsided scores as he's running all over gassed, demoralized defenses.

It doesn't mean he won't be a good RB. Given Wisconsin's track record, he will probably be a very good back. But just as the Wisky doubters are reserving judgment on LF, I'll withhold judgment on Clement.

Nobody is disputing that.

No. He is not a superior athlete. There is a difference between being a great athlete and being a great running back.

Fournette is a great athlete who has the potential to be a great CFB running back.

Gordon is a good athlete and a great running back.

Exactly why it isn't a valid point.

I think Clement is a very capable running back. I know that UW uses more than one RB, and that they typically have more than 1 RB have success. Clement is next in line. He'll get the carries. The production is expected from a UW back.

I wouldn't expect Clement to be held to 20 yards, as you said earlier in this thread.

PIKEKING, I get it, you guys have two very good RB's behind a very good OL, You might even have a 3rd one on your team, that has not had a chance yet.I am not trying to argue that.

As Tigers, we think we have two proven RB's that do not have the numbers as your MG. We believe, our two guys have played against tougher defenses so far. Those two RB's have been behind multiple RB's from LSU that are in the league now. No doubt, you can say this as well.
We also think, we have a very special newcomer and a very solid newcomer that comprises our four RB's. We have a very good OL as well as some excellent blocking FB's and TE's.

I am thinking this game comes down to DL's and LB's on both teams. We are a bit nervous, but at the same time are confident, because we think our defense is better than yours.

MGIII was a 2 time state qualifier in long jump, State runner up D1 WIAA in long jump.

Out of high school MG III Shuttle 4.17 > then LF 4.3 and MGIII 40.2" vertical jump > then L.F 29.9

MGIII Personal bests of 10.9 seconds in the 100 meters and 23.18 seconds in the 200 meters < then L.F. but we have determined that LF is faster but more athletic?... idk about that?

fournette is the #1 player in the country. Not just the #1 RB... the #1 football player coming out of highschool.

out of louisiana 5A where he made other top notch HS football teams look retarded.

he's going to bust out. don't say we didn't warn you.

I am not picking a fight with you all about your team vs. UW, I picked LSU to win a close game in my first post. You guys are the ones that threw out the LF > MGIII comparisons.

This should be an awesome game. Can't wait!

On Wisconsin!!!

P.S.For the record, my handle has little to do with pot...it is tribute to one of my best friends who was leader of a band called Pipe Circus and went by the stage name Pat King. Sadly he died way to young from a brain tumor. LINK

Time to address a few things here, this Tiger fan gave your team respect, I posted that Wisconsin always has great Olinemen and running-backs. Hopefully, one day you learn to read without assistance!

Then you post some ridiculous comment that Tiger fans don't really know how legit their players are, because whats been reported in close practices could be lies. The Big Time Tiger fans who are rewarded with being able to witness some closed practices, didn't get there by being dishonest about anything including LSU's great program, dipchit!

So your excited to see if its true about the no1 player in the entire country, excited to see if your team gets ran over repeatedly by a freight train? Well enjoy, enjoy seeing your team repeatedly licking their balls up off of the turf.

I can read just fine thanks.

Quick RECAP: Only after reading 14 pgs of lame speculation about the Badgers did I chime in on your post. I wasn't talking to you. My goal was only to infuse some real Badger information.

I also stated and truly believe that MGIII will be the best athlete on the field on the 30th. To which your faithful stated LF is the best true athlete. I argued my point, and provided information that disagrees with your board mates claim and he posted his retort... I laughed... and responded... again wasn't talking to you.

It just didn't sit well with me that someone would claim a true freshman that has only gone threw one season of strength and conditioning is the best athlete on the field when a legit Hiesman hopful is on the other team. That is just laughable and is blind homerism. He hasn't even played a down. If LF has a season like Dayne, Walker, Clarett, Faulk or Peterson then I was wrong. But let the kid get acclimated to the college game before you anoint him as the next coming. Or we can just agree to disagree. Fine.

Today it is common for media outlets and Scout sites to build up these kids to super human levels. It sells papers. But forgive me if I don't buy 100% of the information coming out from boosters at your practice. Not exactly non-bias reports.

This I have to point out is homerism. You mock LSU's top athletes, but you look silly doing so. Its not these recruiting services that prove LSU has the best athletes, its the pro football scouts and coaches who draft the majority of LSU players.

Perhaps you should speak to someone you consider non bias and a professional like Pro coach Chip Kelly, the former Oregon coach, who got a close up view playing LSU, he was rather shocked at the freakish size, speed, and number of these great athletes LSU puts out on the field like Mingo among others. You would then realize just how stupid your post really is.
