Did D. Williams play LB in highschool? Seems to me with Guice being the lead back next year and after playing behind LF7 and now Guice he would be open to moving to defense. If D. White can do it seems D. Williams could as well.

I think we recruited him as a potential LB which is why he committed to Arizona St because they would give him the chance at RB. Then we told him he could play RB and he committed here. I don't think he's gonna go for that though.

I think he would grad transfer if they tried that. He could start and pile up a lot of yards for the right Group of 6 team.

No he played Running Back and had better numbers and against stronger competition then did Fournette. Fournette got the ink and Williams got the yardage!!

He will get plenty of touches at RB next year and we will need him there.

When is the last time a drastic position change worked for someone late in their career here? Not talking during or just after 1st season.

Hilliard had the chance a few years back and didn't . I wouldn't think this will be any different . Also we need the depth at RB

Are you talking about Lanard? Because that might make sense.

Not sure if it qualifies as a "drastic" position change, but moving Eric Alexander from safety, where he was buried on the depth chart to linebacker worked very well for him.

He started, and was even drafted by an NFL team, as I recall.

That was a number of years ago, and maybe others have changed positions since that time, but I do not recall them achieving that level of success.

No, he meant Darrell Williams. in 2013 he was the leading rusher in the State of Louisiana surpassing Fournette. Fournette, though was Mr. Everything but Williams was no slouch at John Ehret where he had to play against the Karr's, West Jeff's and Higgins of the state

It's not like St. Aug plays a 1A schedule and in the last three years they played on the same team and Williams was the backup to Leonard's backup.

Both were the shite in Louisiana. They were the number 1 and 2 RBs in the state and were in the same city.

Williams outgained Leonard their senior season.

Williams ran for 2200 yds and 32 tds. Fournette ran for 1800 yds and 17 tds.
