He’s got more problems to worry about than getting these lame arse students to show up to basketball games. Students don’t care about watching LSU basketball except for tonight, but that’s only because we’re playing Kentucky. Wish students would show up to games and make noise when we’re playing teams not named Kentucky

But they'll bring a couple posters, Michael Scott, Stewie, some others, and wave them when the other teams shoots free throws as if that was a distraction.
They should move the band to the front 2-3 rows by the floor. Those guys do more than the students do.

I remember Dale Brown having to grab PA mike during games to try to calm down rabid LSU fans/students who were going crazy. Usually throwing things at court. It was awesome. Not suggesting that throwing things is acceptable... just that fans during that era were way more involved in games.

So now our snowflake students need to be wooed to attend a bball game?
Fact is, we don't have a culture of basketball at this school.
Something like "student experience" at basketball games, to me, is something for the athletic director to handle, not the head coach.

I attended LSU not too long ago. If Will Wade started interacting with some of those fine broads things may get ugly.

Did op die and miss the vandy game last year where the pmac was basically Fortress Wade as we won the SEC?

was one of the most electric atmosphere's i've ever been in. You'd think that game, on top of the fact that we won the SEC and made some noise in the tourney, and have been in first place most of this year would have carried over, but it did not.

My god, what the frick do you need? You get into the games for free. Many times they've given the students food and other crap as an incentive to show up. The team won the conf. last year and is competing for the conf. title once again this year. There's a freaking DJ in the student section because the pep band is "too boring".
The guys also has to coach the team and recruit at some point. He can't spend a chunk of time every week begging a bunch of kids, with minimal responsibility and time constraints, to show up to watch a WINNING basketball team.

It's a fair point. Billy D used to play pick up games with students at UF. He worked hard at marketing the programs to everyone: frats, clubs, general student body. Of course he also produced results.
I don't sense that's part of of Wade's personality or that he feel it's his job.

Sure they can.
They choose not to. There aren't "no-tailgating" rules for basketball games.
Maybe LSU should build out a tailgating section for all the games with bathrooms and music right outside the arena. Beer sales as well. Not sure if it would help, but it might.
