WW wade could recruit in the past because players were paid by him. With NIL that advantage is gone.

Explain making the tournament 2 years in a row at McNeese the last 2 seasons

Explain being 4th (out of 18 teams) in the ACC right now at NC freaking St

Just for reference on NC ST finishes in the ACC in the recent past:
'25 - 16th/18
'24 - 10th/15
'23 - 6th/15
'22 - 15th/15
'21 - 10th/16

And at McNeese they made the NCAA Tournament 2x in the previous 50+ years prior to Wade being there, he made the tourney both seasons there. Literally doubled their NCAAT appearances (and even won their first ever game in the tournament) in his 2 seasons there from 50+ years of history in D1.

All 3 of these seasons during the NIL era.

Weird.

as i've said before, Wade would be an upgrade, for sure... but it would really just feel like we are settling for a guy vs. trying to get the best guy that we can possibly get... in the sports we've swung for the fences in, we've done well, and will likely do well once more (football)... there is no reason we shouldn't try to get better than Wade, and if we miss out, circle back to Wade as a back up plan

We aren’t hiring Wade or any other power conference coach unless there’s a Chris Beard situation that shakes someone loose at the right time. We will very likely be getting another mid-major upside guy like Wade was when he came here. Everyone here will be better off if they just accept that reality right now. We just have to hope this one works out better than MM.

The ability to process information on here is laughable. This isn't about the past it's about 2026. Whether Mcmahon is fired at the end of the season is irrelevant. There is enough evidence to say that will happen and if it does so be it but the want to ignore facts in order to make that happen is what is the point. Wade, who I loved a as coach BTW, had a $10 -$12 mil budget at NCST. he also had a preseason national POY candidate. yet he lost to Auburn and Texas, He lost by 15 at home to VA. He lost to Ga Tech at home who is currently ranked 17th in the ACC and just got blown out by Louisville by 41. And he has a completely healthy team. Mcmahon loses 2 of his best players including one of the best PG in the SEC and goes on the road to TAM and loses by 3. Goes on the road to #19 Vandy and loses by 11. Goes on the road to #21 ARK and loses by 4. But he sucks as a coach. If you don't see the comedy I don't know what to tell you. I still think we should have beaten SC at home as well as KY but if you think this team doesn't win those games a swell as the TAM game with a healthy DJ and Reed then you aren't very knowledgeable in basketball. Take 2 of the best players off of any team and see what their record is then. I understand time has run out and this isn't a defense of Mcmahon not getting fired but it is a defense of reality. There is no excuse for getting beat by 41 with that team or losing to GA Tech.

But if the goal is excitement with mediocrity, if the goal is to slide into the national tournament and get bounced in the first or second round, then Wade is your guy.

How many seasons has Wade coached in the tournament for a power conference program? Once, at LSU, and he lost in the second round that time. His LSU went two other time without him coaching them. They went to a sweet 16 the first time and lost in round 1 the next after he was fired.

Your conclusions seem predicated on a very small sample size.

No, I'm making fun of Wade and his ball washers on this board after an embarrassing loss by their deity.

You have problem.

Making fun of a Coach that has made a tourney about every year since he came to LSU/

Replaced by a guy has not made the tourney once during that period;

And you are happy? Is there a Shrink on the board?
