Will Wade might believe LSU Basketball is a sleeping Giant
There’s no might about it. He said it was a sleeping giant when he came here first time

It is a sleeping giant.
LSU is the flagship program in all sports in this state. NC State is 3rd or even 4th in the state of NC. They’re not getting many recruits from UNC or Duke.
Wade can come to Louisiana and keep our good players here and steal a few from Houston to Orlando and have this program dancing every year.
Will LSU ever be up there with a blue blood? I don’t think so, but that doesn’t mean this school can’t compete year in and year out with the right coach and backing.

The McMen had a lot of excuses.
Not in that category, but:
quote:
“We’ve got changes we’ve got to make up and down the program. My eyes are wide open, I understand what we need to do,” Wade said. “But this is unacceptable, losing in Dayton. In some ways, we were fortunate to make the tournament with this group. We’ve got to do a much better job getting guys, and making sure we get guys that fit us in the future to make sure we’re not back in this spot.”
Wade made a ton of them too, so please don't make excuses for him when the time comes. He couldn't be more than average in the weaker ACC.

Almost as funny as blaming a 25 point deficit to the only team in the league as pathetic as us on…loose rims.
That actually happened?

I really think he will be our Calipari. We are going to be stacked with talent year in year out. May win one or two but we are going to always be in the mix which is all you can ask when it comes to the way the postseason is set up in college bball.

WW sees what's happening in college sports.
Within the next ten years, expect the SEC and Big Ten to either combine or form a strong conference alliance that will leave out a good number of P4 schools from the Big 12 and ACC. NC State does not have the backing to be included in that number. Add in the fact that LSU has gone all in on athletics with the recent moves the athletic department has made.
We live in a different world than we were in just two years ago when it comes to college athletics.

I guess it’s official now, and time to ride.
