I don't understand the down votes. Why wouldn't we want LSU to reward a coach that makes us a regular contender?

The prognosis is good but he has to get there first. Based on everything we've seen thus far, he is a program savior. Secondly, you pay market value. Wade is the seventh highest paid hoops coach in the SEC. Alleva will probably have to open the checkbook to keep Wade here because he will be a target at some point but it will be based on the market at that time.
aTm fundamentally changed the market value for a DC when they came after Aranda so the two are not comparable and football still pays the bills.
