The basketball program has been treated like the football program in the late 80s and early 90s. Trying to pinch pennies and compete with big money programs. Cant do it.

Now that we have a legit coach in place, its time to see how good the hoops program can be, the same way we invested in the football program.

Woodward will get it done and cutting FKing off of the athletics teat is the first step. Then we cut off the ladies teams and non revenue sports that hemorrhage money, and dominate the big 3 sports.

edit: I know, I know. Title IX and all that.

LSU basketball does not have championship caliber facilities. That’s the goal.

He is a physco. In a good way I guess. This is ankle biter stuff. For wade to kind of pile on and make negative comments about perceived deficiencies some of which have been long known... PMAC .. for instance.. not good timing. LSU basketball has outstanding facilities. Could they be better yes. At this point we have had one season. We might have a bunch of sold tickets but our actual attendance is very light. We have an awful home preseason schedule. Awful as in very little reason to go to any of the games. Anyway. Looking for a great season. Hoping that the facilities get funded eventually. Making a public fuss rather. Than just talking to Woodward and the TAF was not a good plan.

Wade doesn't have a lot of self-control. He did win the SEC, but got waxed in the first round of the SEC tournament. He has a long way to go to live up to the hype machine here.

I agree completely. Best coach on this campus since Saban and Bertman

And he’s like John Wooden compared to the illiterate goon that he replaced.

Still can’t believe Jones had Ben fricking Simmons and didn’t even make the postseason lmao

Everything old is new again. At one point, the basketball team had offices, weight room and practice facility all in the PMAC.

Did they really? What are those spaces used for now?

The old L Club room was Alleva’s masturbatorium for the past couple of years.

Not defending these morons at all; but at least with the 3 named above, I have never gotten the impression it has anything to do with O. Earl: as far as I can tell is a big fan of the sport of basketball; but he is overall just a stubborn contrarian. He is the same person that use to love to shite on Waters any chance he got; and when the Wade wiretaps started, he chose that as his newest hill to die on. But he’ll claim that he loves Wade as a coach and wants to see him stay. Chinhoyang: He is not an O supporter per se. He is just a Johnny Jones sycophant that can’t let his firing go and therefore dislikes Wade because of it (although, he will disagree with that assertion as well). P&G: As far as I can tell, this simpleton lacks the ability to tolerate more than 1 sport being discussed at a time and is likely not even a fan of the sport of basketball period, as he always has to jump in any thread and bash it in some way. But his ignorance is not exclusive to just Wade.

That’s a pretty good synopsis

Just to name a few.

They can’t stand the idea of another coach outshining their beloved Orgeron.

lol that’s funny. Will Wade was my guy long before most of the fam base caught on. I’ve said numerous times he’s the best coach on campus.

Why does that mean I can’t criticize him for doing something stupid, I don’t know.

Why wouldn’t you support him? I don’t like the guy...he coached for Ole Miss, USC and Miami..3 of my least favorite teams ever. And I don’t think he deserved the position...but I support the hell out of him...cause he’s our coach. I make fun of the O sycophants who would love him if he took a dump on their front porch..but I want him to bring us a championship.

I’ll help you out with why he wouldn’t support Orgeron

He supports Johnny Jones and Tony Benford. He thinks Jones shouldn’t have been fired and Benford should have replaced Coach Wade.

See the pattern?

that is a good way of looking at it! (and I'm being serious not sarcastic)

It would be easier if a certain poster would quit posting his idiotic stretching picture.
