They do not bother me, however I will not buy anything with them on it either. I mean someone posted something earlier that said sales had increased of LSU merchandise since toonces were introduced, however that could correlate in the emergence of bandwagon fans due to LSU winning 2 national titles.

logo (whoever the hell that might be) was made aware of some big movement to get the old logo back:
1. Would they even care?
2. Could they even change it or do they have contractual obligations to toonces?
3. Can they sell official LSU stuff with toonces and old school logo? They could create some sort of marketing campaign for old logo...
It seems to me that if they replaced toonces, even if they redesign a new one and do not go back to old logo, they would make more money simply on the fact people will buy the newest merchandise.

They have contracts with merchants and vendors, but those expire and can be renegotiated.

I really prefer the old logo that we have on the helmet, but honestly anything that gets rid of Toonces I am cool with.
And anybody that says just the Toonces head is tolerable is wrong. It is just as bad as the full on hurricane crazy swoosh Toonces
As far as that other thread being anchored, the admins have been anchoring every anti-Toonces thread this week. They have advertisers that sell Toonces crap and the almighty dollar is more important than the fans' popular opinion.

Agree....Instead of that lame tigerhead, let's get some kind of emblem or mascot befitting a new NFL expansion team, something swooshy and splashy....and get rid of the Golden Girls for some Dallas Cowboys-type cheerleaders,....and drop that silly band, maybe just blast some funky hiphop over the loudspeakers in between downs. Tear down Death Valley and rebuild a new state of the art stadium like the one in Dallas...call it Saban Stadium! In fact, get rid of the Tiger all together...it's too overdone (do we want to be like Auburn or Clemson?), instead call us the Thunder, the Hurricanes (oh, wait, that's already taken), maybe the Gulf Cyclones, the Heat, the Humidity, or the Lightning. Oh, yeah, best of all...the LSU StormSurges!!! Our mascot could be MR.GO

I absolutely hated the Toonces logo with the midget arms. That was absolutely awful. However, it is an improvement that they just use the head now. They spent a ton of money on this logo (which was stupid), but at least just the head is tolerable. (TWSS)

The tiger on the helmet. It worked great for merchandise before and it would be fine now. Toonces is horrid.

You people are a bunch of idiots. If our logo was a photo of your cock and balls it wouldn't change how we play on the field. GET OVER IT!! It is our current logo. It will run its course just like all the other silly arse logos before it. For people to go on and on and on about this stupid subject is ridiculous. How about worrying about the school and the product on the field. That is what is important.
