Are you going to stick around after the game or will you be done with TD? You have almost as many posts as I do in a fifth of the time, so it'd be a shame for you to leave after Sept 3. Also, have you discovered the OT yet or do you just hang out on the Rant?

The roof was supposed to be closed for the TCU/Oregon St. game last year, and they decided to open it about an hour before game time. It was pretty hot and still in there, especially in the lower level.

Seriously?

Why did they do that? Does Jerry Jones hate TCU?

TCU acutally requested it thinking OSU would be at more of a disadvantage.

I don't remember the roof being open. I was drunk though. Had to keep with my team winning 72-0.

Good for you rummy. Act like you've been there before.

That being said, my 10,000th post was the shite.

Oh, I will stick around. I have posted on the soccer board, MSB but haven't ventured to OT.

The OT is a wonderful place full of considerate people having constructive conversations.

Sumbitch.

quote:

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Cowboys Stadium roof and giant sliding glass doors at each end were supposed to be closed for Saturday's game, but a beautiful fall day that still produced warm temperatures -- especially if you're in town from Corvallis, Ore. -- prompted stadium general manager Jack Hill to open the place up.

TCU coach Gary Patterson said he didn't know the roof was going to be open until it started to crank at 6:30 p.m., 15 minutes prior to kick off. But, since it was opened, Patterson said it helped his team, which was used to practicing in 100-degree heat throughout August. The temperature was in the mid-80s at kickoff and dropped to the mid-70s later in the night.

ETA: The stadium GM resigned earlier this summer so he won't be the one making the call to open the roof ever again:

TD.com

The flypaper of college message boards.. Once an opposing fan comes here they never leave. Venture to the OT and you will lose your life to the addiction.

Hell no.

I root for the Beavers as well.

Time to end the Ducks' 3 game win streak in the Civil War.

Close. Tying Germany AND a topic of the thread (temperature) into the picture was the correct answer:

Other acceptable pictures would include Jerry Jones wearing lederhosen and a tracht, or a picture of Darron Thomas, in a BMW, with the words "das Marihuana" superimposed.

I will be rooting for the Beavs at Wisconsin. I will root for them against the Huskies and against the Trojans. My ladder of hate goes from OOC, Huskies, Trojans, Beavs, Cal. Nothing good come from playing the cougs.

I agree. I will be rooting for the Beavs against Wisconsin and for sure against the Huskies. To most Oregon fans the Huskies are the bigger rivals.
