I think the LSU policy is evident ,only 1 jersey has been fully retired in over a hundred years.For us too retire you need to be a generational player,Cannon and only Joe , because of the Heisman and the NC.

I am mind blown by the idiocy and self entitlement of a grown man thinking a damn number belongs to him.
JD needs to take a humble long look in the mirror and realize LSU offered him the avenue and opportunity to win an individual accolade. The Heisman
Not taking away the fact that his talent is deserving of the recognition and award he received..
He has never, nor will be, bigger than the program. Literally do not care if he is associated with the university I proudly appreciate and hold a degree from.
Most winners win and don’t skate out on the team bc you only made the ReliaQuest Bowl.
