Quitting and giving up should never be acceptable in team sports. Your teammates depend on you, quitting is selfish. We’ve all been told that he really didn’t quit, there was some kind of mental issue that he needed time to recover from. But he entered the transfer portal. He quit on his team with 2 games left. He doesn’t want to be at LSU! He doesn’t want to be a Tiger! Why beg him for to come back? How disrespectful is that to the players who didn’t quit? We as LSU fans want to surpass Alabama, but we want to tolerate quitting?? If he quit on Alabama, would Saban want him back? I doubt it. The cancer of quitting can’t be tolerated in an elite program.
