If they get in, which I think they will, it will be a 3 seed. I think 4 seeds are generally for small conference automatic bids and whatnot

Exactly. Same as March Madness. You have folks like the OP asking “will we get in as a 16 seed?” Lol. Borderline at-large P5 teams don’t get in as less than a 12 seed because 13-16 are reserved for small conference automatic bids, their regular season or tournament winners.

theoretically they could if the last at-large bids have to be 4 seeds. A bunch of teams and conferences that are normally 4's might end up being 2's or 3's.

The lack of college baseball knowledge on this board astounds me, considering we pretty much all grew up with this team being the most dominant baseball team in the country.

Yep. We are where we have been a time or two in basketball pre-Wade—watching surprise teams win these conference tournaments and in danger of being frozen out because of the at-large pool being expanded.
