Between Gore, Ware, Ford, Magee, Hilliard, etc., maybe someone will emerge who will be viewed as dynamic like Kevin Faulk.

Gore or Magee maybe I am starting to wonder if hilliard will still be on the team by this fall.

I think we could have another KF soon but we will not be able to keep him 4 years. KF's rushing record will last for the foreseeable future.

At no point was Justin Vincent in Kevin Faulk's league.
I respectfully disagree. In the most important two game stretch of that season - the SECCG and the NCG - Vincent showed the elusiveness, vision, and breakaway potential of Faulk. He dominated both of those contests.

Let's be honest..........For 2 games in 2003, Justin Vincent was the best player on the field in all of the NCAA.......Sorry Kevin Faulk.
But 2 games doesn't make you dynamic, it makes you opportunistic........

I entirely concur. That's why I mentioned in my original post that the mirage had faded by the middle of the 2004 season. I was so excited to see JV perform in 2004. People were positing him as a legitimate Heisman candidate. Then he just slowly disappeared, like a gridiron ghost.

He picked a great time to scare us all.........

That 2 game stretch is legendary considering the enormity of the moment in LSU lore.

And why would you wonder that?

I'm actually anxious to see Gore play. The fact that we haven't seen anything from him yet combined with him moving up the depth chart at such a rapid pace has my attention.

Vincent got about 75% of his yards in the NCG on two runs he hardly dominated that game. He also displayed his lack of breakaway potential on the 1st run.

quote:not even close. i liked addai. ran as hard as anyone. he put forth his maximum effort everytime he carried the ball.
Addai.
he didn't have the ability to zip through a hole and take it the distance like kevin. nor was he able to juke defenders. addai was more likely to run through people.

no because they make them add 30lbs and they lose all speed

Terrance Magee reminds me the most of Faulk of all our current running backs. At least from how they both looked in high school. Have to wait and see if it translates to the college level like it did for Faulk.

Who knows. I said I'd never see another player like Tebow and along comes Cam Newton. Not only was K Faulk unbelievably talented, he also had two linemen who are still playing in the NFL blocking for him.

Faulk also might of had the best hands to ever come out of the backfield. Best hands maybe ever at LSU. Numerous sick one handed grabs.

toefield when he was healthy was probably the closest thing to faulk

Yes he might of been a better WR than RB if he was a little bit taller great body control and unbelievable hands. I can't count the times he's made tough catches. I need to put together a highlight from LSU and NE

Will auburn ever have another bo jackson?
Will Georgia ever have another herschel walker?
what a stupid fricking question.
