I especially like that all of our wins by 1 score were games that he said we were lucky to win but when we lose by 1 score they were solid losses or not as close as the score indicates. LOL.

Right and A&M was luck. How was that luck? We completely owned Manziel after the first 2-3 series of the game. We beat them because we dominated them after the first couple series. Again, we won by 5, but a cheap TD prevented it from being a 12 point win.

Then says the Ole Miss win was garbage. Ole Miss should have beaten A&M. That was not a garbage win. The stupidity of some of the people that post here is astounding.

This gives an indication of the type of ignorance we are dealing with:
quote:

North Texas solid win
Washington solid win
Idaho solid win
Auburn scraped by, very lucky to win
Towson scraped by a weak team, could have lost
Florida lost, game not as close as score reflects
S.C. barely scraped by, lucky to win
Texas A and M barely scraped by, luck played role
Alabama solid loss
Miss State solid win
Ole Miss barely scraped by, lucky to win
Arkansas barely scraped by, lucky to win due to bad call by Ark. coach
[quote]

Then this just drives it HOME!!!

quote:

Georgia beat Florida who beat LSU so LSU would clearly lose to Ga.

This may blow your mind then - LSU beat USCe who destroyed UGA so using your logic (not much but Im playing along here) what happens now?

In reading this, is a "solid loss" the exact converse of a "scraped by, lucky to win"?

Alabama held LSU down the entire game, keeping it even, then turned on the guns in the last minute or so. I figure it was Saban's strategy to win the game, and it worked.

At first I thought he meant Solid Loss like a bad thing but now I am thinking he may mean it in a "almost won" type of thing but like I said its hard to give someone who gives the "Team A beat Team B and Team C lost to Team B so obviously Team A beats Team C" but claims to know a lot about any sport let alone college football??

That does hurt my logic, but you also have to figure that, in college football, there are those inexplicable games where the better team gets trounced. Plus, Georgia won the East which really controls.

Thus, Georgia > Florida > LSU makes much more sense than LSU > SC > Georgia.

You are sheer genius...
Predict failure every year and when it doesn't happen claim miles was lucky and if it finally does happen you get to say I told you so...
Well done, moron

In other words, your transitive theory only operates when it can serve to make LSU look BAD?

I'm guessing, therefore, your transitive theory does not work to apply any meaning at all to LSU beating A&M (scraping by, or otherwise) and A&M then beating Bama, right?

A win is a win deal with it
When do you actually see teams just dominate every single team they play? Each year there are close games that teams pull out
Notre dame scrapped by teams
Bama scraped by teams

Some people are slow.

The Georgia > Florida > LSU works because LSU never played Georgia. The LSU > A and M > Alabama doesn't work because Alabama played LSU. Thus, it is not just LSU > A and M > Alabama but also Alabama > LSU which creates circuitous victories. This destroys the application of the transitive theory.

So when Saban "gets lucky" and has a "scrape by win" (as you label all of LSU's close games - even those that LSU dominated like USCe, 2nd Half of A&M) its strategy and BRILLIANCE but Miles is too stupid to have the same strategy?

Anyone who watched the LSU / Bama game this year on TV could clearly see that Saban and his players knew their arse was beat as LSU was driving the ball and running the clock down towards the end of the 4th. I give McCarron props for pulling it off but if you really believe that Saban wanted the game to go that way your more dillusional than anyone could possibly have guessed.

WOW - just WOW!!!

5 to 6 losses... Or one score away from beating Bama... Being on our way to the Sec champ... And with a win on our way to the BCS NC.

No one loves Les Miles more than I do, but face it, his extraordinary luck is a big factor in wins. Nick Saban, a jerk if there ever was one, doesn't win on luck but on skill. His victory against LSU was a clinic on finesse and when to apply full force.

I still am glad Les Miles is our coach.

This is what were all trying to get you to understand - THIS IS AN OPINION NOT FACT!! I could just as easily say that Saban is lucky and Miles is a skillful coach?

No. The fact is the Nick Saban is the most skilled technical coach. The fact is that Les Miles is blessed with uncanny luck (and one could argue that he creates his own luck) and is a coach who recruits well because he is a good guy who is loyal to his players.

I present facts, never opinion.
