If Al Davis was alive, he would draft him.

That would make the Jamarcus Russell pic look good by comparison.

Gruden and every other analyst in pre-draft programs always refer to a QBs ability to read defenses, go through progressions and hit 2nd and 3rd receivers as the quality most sought after by NFL teams. Nothing JJ did in his 4 yrs here gives anyone with a grade school knowledge of football the idea that he ever could do this.

"He has dealt with adversity over the past year and still lead his team to a SEC Championship. I think he has a lot of upside if he promises to work hard and make the most of an opportunity. "

He led the team to an SEC championship? Lee started 9 of those games and JJ's stats weren't real impressive in the SEC champ (5-13, 30 yards), in fact they were god awful!

A lot of upside? He was at LSU for 4 years and pretty much got worse every season

"And he's still 6' 5" with god wheels and a very strong arm"

6'5", strong arm, and dumb.....reminds me of Jamarcus.........that didn't work out too well

What makes me pee ma pants is thinking back before the Shady's incident when several analysts stated that JJ was a dark horse for the Heisman. Fail

Dealing with adversity is not necessarily such an admirable trait when you've brought much of the adversity upon yourself to begin with.

Somebody will pick him up at the end, let him go to camp, put him on the practice squad awhile, then cut him.
