Plus TN has to fill 108,000 seats...that's 15,000 more than LSU. If prices continue to climb and the product on the field stays mediocre, LSU will find itself in a similar circumstance at some point in the future. Supply will equal demand. If fans are expected to pay high donation/ticket prices, they are going to expect to see a winner...that's the bottom line.

SEC schools would help sales by not scheduling 1-AA/FCS teams. Everyone in the SEC except Vandy will play 1 of these lightweights this season. I wish the NCAA would ban such travesties.
I wonder if sales would drop to a point that games might be blacked out like they are in the NFL. Personally, I am exited that all but 1 or 2 LSU games are on TV every season. I live on the Left Coast so I cannot attend any games. 20 yrs ago, I would only seen LSU play at most half of their games on TV, mostly due to ESPN prime time games.

Skip Bertman probably told him that one time.

I will still buy the season tickets but I am starting to go to less games each year. It is such a hassle to go to Tiger Stadium. I would much rather have a full bar, full kitchen, and a bathroom without much of a wait. That goes for at home or at a bar near campus.

By whom? I've never heard of this.

Personally I see very little value in attending live sporting events. I don't really enjoy tailgating, mostly because I don't drink alcohol and I tend to be introverted. Furthermore, it's a very physically uncomfortable experience. The seats suck, the crowding sucks, the heat sucks, the traffic sucks, etc.
I have to say I agree with this, although I still love being in the stadium for the game. That is starting to fade also. I'm more of a traditional SEC defense/running game fan, so I admit the brand of football we've had recently doesn't really excite me and inspire me to go. Now cue the reponses about being glad to see my kind go.....

I'd probably give up my LSU tickets if I didn't have a parking pass. If it's not a Florida or Bama, you can barely give tickets away. I love going to games but the prices are starting to get to me.

No, cannot afford them anymore. The wealthy win again.

I could see premiere games moving to PPV if attendance started dropping. It's entertainment, not much different than buying 2-2 hour movies. Well, except for the fan interaction and on campus tailgating. Nothing replaces in-game action at a stadium that one can't see on TV and how plays develop, but the increased crowds due to expansion, etc, have made attending games more of a PITA. TAF will be out charging people on campus without tickets to the games before you know it.

What i think will happen is what you now see for SECCG
Instead of paying all the TAF fees, younger people will start to pick out two or three games a year they really want to go to, and then get them off of ebay for the same amount of money or less total.
By the way, speaking of lagging sales, anyone noticing how many empty seats at NASCAR this year? guess that happens when you charge over $100 a ticket.
