He's not on a hot seat currently. My my how one game changes things. If he beats AUB, people might actually respect him a little more

If Miami comes calling and is willing to part with the big bucks he may not.

I mean... it could change in the other direction pretty quickly. You're basically making the case that everyone is overreacting. No doubt it was a great win and a great way to start the year. But his seat wouldn't have been really significantly warmer with a loss to Miami either, unless it was an absolute blowout. It's game 1/12. Much to be determined.

If he beats Auburn for his second top 10 win away from home in three weeks, he will have earned any leeway he may receive from the fans, but it's still a long season left to go.

Don't count on it. That's what the O Haters said before the Miami game and that didn't slow them down.

Where are you seeing all these "haters" hating on O after the Miami game?

In my opinion LSU was way better than Miami and many people saw that coming. I told everyone on this freaking board that the question will be vs UGA AU and Bama.

Losses to Miami, miss state, Florida and A&M should have never been a thing.

He has to win at least 1 of the big 3 and not get snuck by Ole Miss.

LSU will also have to find a way to get early leads on many teams and get their dang starters out of the game

What's your fricking point.

If he wins the National Championship he's gonna get tons of respect

Let's see him do it first

No it's not. In fact, the majority of those who don't believe in O thought we would beat Miami anyway.

I've been pretty consistent in saying I don't believe O can get the job done. But if he goes in Jordan-Hare and pulls off a win, he'll have earned some respect from this guy. I don't think he'll be out of the woods for the season, but he'll certainly be significantly closer.

Nah I'll be really optimistic about this team if we go into Auburn and get the W. LSU would have some serious momentum heading into the teeth of the schedule and we all know how important momentum is in football.

bullshite. The "haters" have been praising the effort in the Miami game and been enjoying the win. This was never about one game, no matter the outcome. The "hate" comes from not believing he's the man to get us back to 10 win seasons and competing for the West, the SEC title and the National Title.

I downvoted you’re post because you worded the title negatively. Otherwise, you’re point is accepted by most reasonably minded fans.

You don't get to bash the coaches and other posters incessantly for months and claim that you believe LSU beats Miami then everything is hunky dory. It doesn't work like that. All of the negas chose their positions months ago. You can't complain about others giving you no credibility when you voluntarily gave it up.

Are you 12? Why is this like some kind of weird competition to you? Some of us care far more about LSU succeeding than being "right" or "wrong" to a bunch of anonymous bozos on the internet. I don't think I'll be losing any sleep because "bencoleman" on tigerdroppings.com says I can't cheer on the team because I've long questioned O's viability as a permanent head coach.

For god's sake, some people want to actual see REAL progress and see us compete for championships before crowning Orgeron. Not everyone who was or is apprehensive "incessantly bashed" the coaches like you seem to want people to believe. The Miami win is a great start. We have 11-12 games left this season. Let's see how things play out before we start jerking each other off.

Even if I believed that were true, it really has nothing to do with my post. I was responding to someone saying Orgeron wasn't getting respect after the Miami game.

If you want to discuss the other matter, that's fine. Orgeron's resume didn't meet the requirements of a big time job like LSU, so he had doubters before he never started, then had some horrendous losses that only poured gasoline on that fire. If he shows this year that he's worthy of being the head coach, then people will change their minds. The fans were here way before Orgeron was head coach and will be here long after he is gone. He has to prove him self to the fans that pay his salary, NOT the other way around. He gets paid very well as a public figure to take the criticism.
