re: Will Coach O ever shut up about Joe Brady?

He just isn't someone who can handle being the main guy. Yes every successful HC needs guys around him to help keep the program running, but what exactly does O do as Head Coach himself? He hired Pelini because Carroll told him to, he hired Peetz because Brady told him to, hell even Brady was discovered by Ensminger and O hired him because Stevie E told him to.
He just does whatever his friends tell him to do and keeps saying he's trying to recreate 2019 but he doesn't understand the nuances of what went into making that season happen because he doesn't have Aranda or Steve helping him out anymore. What he does best is be a DL coach and a recruiter, but his insistence on the 4-3 so he can have more of his beloved DLmen on the field screwed up the continuity of our defense the past 2 years.
2 weeks can't go by quick enough

Ed Orgeron on Jake Peetz: "The one thing I did was trust Joe Brady. I knew there'd be a learning curve. I won't say it was a mistake. It's not like they're not looking, it's just their experience level may not be what I wanted for this job."
wow
The most amazing part is

mistake. It's not like they're not looking, it's just their experience level may not be what I wanted for this job.
Is he suggesting Brady lied to him about the guy's experience? WTF

Technically, he’s not wrong with any of these comments, but you don’t voice them publicly. Peetz and Mangus have been a disaster but holy shite Ed, you hired them. Whoever was supposed to do PR training with O failed miserably.

What’s even funnier to me is he obsessively references the “joe Brady offense” and 2019, but never actually elaborates what that means.
2019 offense we basically lived in 11 personnel and in the gun, and had elite talent at all skill positions excluding tight end, and our tight end was one of the smartest and more dependable players on the team so he held up too. And we had a bunch of NFL offensive lineman and a mobile, decisive QB who could hold up with 5 man protections or had an answer to all the pressure looks a D could send. And Joe THRIVED in empty and that played to his strengths.
Fast forward, our Oline talent isn’t the same, we don’t have that style of RB anymore, we literally don’t have a TE after Gilbert left, and most importantly an entirely different QB situation. Even if Joe Brady was calling plays, we’d need to do something much different than 2019 since our personnel isn’t qualified to run it. If Myles was the qb we still would have struggled running a bunch of stuff out of empty because the OL isn’t as good in 2019 and he can’t really move.
These are just my observations as a dumb fan and it fascinates me how Ed oversimplifies the offensive philosophy and insists on inserting a round peg into a square hole.

Ed said again that he hired him because he wanted to run the “Joe Brady offense”. Shut the frick up about “the Joe Brady offense”. The “Joe Brady offense” was about to get fired in Carolina a couple of weeks ago.
Let me help you out Ed, it was the:
Joe Burrow, Jamaar Chase, Jordan Jefferson, Terrace Marshall, Thad Moss, and Clyde Edwards-Helaire Offense!
I never heard Nick Saban say he wanted to find someone to run the Steve Sarkisian offense.

I think O has Tourettes. If he thinks it… It’s coming out his dumbass mouth.

But this entire house of cards was built around this clueless meathead to continually make the right hires every single time
The true idiots are his supporters that believed this model had any chance at long term success. Ed fricked around, accidentally discovered plutonium, then continually tried to again but couldn’t because he has no clue how he did it the first time

It’s utterly amazing that dumbass can see that quote and twist as an L for the anti O crowd

The cargo van should be parked in front of the football building so when he returns from practice they take all his shite and throw it and him in it to never return. He's stooping to the lowest level of classlessness. Anyone still defending this meat plow is equally retarded.

The guy never, ever had his own identity. That’s ultimately his issue.
First it was whatever Pete Carroll and Jimmy Johnson did. Well frickin Ed O isn’t Pete Carroll and Jimmy Johnson.
Then it was trying to recapture Aranda with Daronte Jones and Joe Brady with these guys. Throw in the fact that we know he was not familiar with Matt Canada and did not interview Pelini.
I want to ask Ed what HE wants for a defense and offense. I would love that answer both for the comedy and genuinely curious

“You fans trusted Joe Brady so it’s perfectly acceptable the million dollar coach hired someone with 0 play calling experience based solely on his recommendation”
does that really make sense to him?

Start to finish:
Ed is classless, immature, insecure and without self awareness.
That's before we get to the topic of football...

I will believe Dick Vitale says more than the garbage this pussy coach has to say. I hope O gets banned from the LSU campus.

It’s not necessarily an obsession, it’s just literally the only time in his HC career he had big time success. So you just desperately try to recreate that formula. Good coaches will take that past success and apply some of it going forward, O was hoping he could copy and paste that formula and get the exact same results
You heard it all offseason when he and Derek were putting it out there “it’s real 2019 vibes over in ops building “ Move the frick on, you’ll never be able to recreate that even if you got 30 more years as HC here

Joe Brady is somewhere laughing. He punked 0 and at the same time got his buddy a massive raise and experience as an OC at a big time school.
