He's definitely not a first or second round lock.

I'll say he is, keep an eye on him this year with Cooper working with him. Too much talent.

I'm interested in what type of 40 he'll run... me thinks 4.6+, which isn't great if he wants to be considered a safety.

How fast is Ryan Clark? This will be his 9th. year in the NFL. Remember he was a Free Agent in 2002 with the N Y Giants. Undrafted and still playing and playing well. Ryan started all 14 games last year with the Steelers. Hes 5'11" and around 205#'s.

definitely be drafted in the FIRST ROUND next year
the thing for chad, is that eric berry and taylor mays will both be in the draft next year. if he wants to make some crazy money, he will stay for his senior year, like laron, and go in the top 5-10 picks in the 2011 draft. assumming he keeps improving and delivers on his massive amount of potential

The thing with Chad, 6'3" 218#'s, you can count on one hand kids drafted the next two years with that that size. He's clearly big and physical, but he's fluid enough to cover passes. This year with Cooper, will show a change that will be fun to keep an eye on.

The guy was running down Darren Mcfadden! Doubt he runs a 4.6+.

McFadden with a bad hamstring. Still he's a lot faster than 4.6. But, his money is in baseball. Left handed pitching commands a premium price.

Chad jone is at least a 3rd round right now. You can't teach size, speed, and strengh!! He will improve as he play more

90+ mph fast ball.......

He will have a choice to make. He has helped out both the football and baseball teams. Thanks and the best wherever he ends up.

He should go to the NFL first, if that doesn't work out, he could still go and try to do the baseball thing.

Chad Jones was a five star recruit and rated #1
Safty in the country coming out of high school.

he played as a freshman.

he would be a third or 2nd round choice if drafted today by nfl.

Let him play this year and we'll see.

Lindys draft section has him as the #2 Strong Safety, hes ranked higher than anyone coming out. At # one is Eric Berry of Tenn. another Jr.
You don't find that many guys with his size, speed and athleticism. The thing hes missing the most will be taken care of by Cooper.

He is a great football player and i think that he makes a great impact as a pitcher does he stay or go in the draft?

He is going to go in the second round this year strictly based on athletic ability. If he stays his senior year he will be the first safety picked.

i do

the INT returns i saw of him in HS, the fricking crazy sideways INT against Kentucky, catching up to McFadden, the punt return moves (not that he was a good PR just his athleticism), etc

He did that with little or no coaching. Imagine what he could be with some great coaching.

As a PR he fills two positions on an NFL team.

He will prove a lot of doubters wrong this year. I can't wait to see what he does now that he will be put in the right position to succeed. Coaches and players were raving about him all Spring.

pass break up on in the ga tech game was a really good play...

i think last year our defense was confused 90 percent of the time, especially chad jones, he was looking at the sideline with his hands in the air about half the time when the ball was snapped. i think this year with a better defensive system he will be much much better
