all reports is that Simmons wanted nothing to do with LSU and didn't even practice with the other players.
Don't believe your lying eyes, believe ranters. They are always correct in their feelings.
Just think, he led the team in assists and rebounds, made all SEC, first player selected in the draft, and rookie of the year in the NBA. He did that without practicing with the team. How gullible does a person have to be to believe that.

It’s hard for a one and done basketball player to be considered a true college player.
Simmons didn’t help himself by deciding not to play in the NIT and doing that documentary after he was drafted.
Some kids can pull off being a college legacy player for one year. Maybe a Carmelo, Zion or someone like that. But it’ll never be anything like Shaq, Lattner, Grant, etc who stayed in schools for years and were a real part of the university.
NBA needs to go to MLB draft rules. Ability to be drafted out of high school, but if you aren’t drafted or decide to go to NCAA, you aren’t eligible for the draft for three years.

Absolutely Not: Stats can be misleading. His teammates hated playing with him. He should have played overseas. It was a waste of time for him and LSU.

Me either. We didn't make the postseason his one year here.
Sure, he single handidly won us a few games, but overall it was a poor team even with him, thus JJ gone shortly afterwards.
Guess overall not to enthralled with the one and dones.

10-21 / 2-16 following his departure.
I think Ben's fanbase problem is he wasn't the LSU BB Messiah to overcome the JJ factor. Stone him.

They hate Simmons and the hate Naz simply because they were 1 and dones.
Do people really hate Naz? I dont hate either of them to be honest, i hate the system. Simmons was a talent that should have never had to go to college just skip to the nba. That system of force i pro talent to go to college when he and everyone else knew what his intentions were, was the problem. Naz did good for us and played hard was a quiet seeming respectful person, but he should have been here longer to develop more. I dont hate either. They are both exceptionally talented player and i hope the best for them because they were once tigers.

you cherry-picked one game. I can do that too, but with a bigger sample size.
Games 2-5: Simmons shot 16-34 from the field, 1-3 from the FT line, and averaged 7.6 points.
How many did he make outside the paint?
Any?

I find it absolutely amazing that a guy who I could beat in a free throw shooting contest gets a nearly $200M contract.
But good for him and he is a LSU alum...

How do Simmons stats compare to Shacks Freshman stats?

Who cares you moron...lol.
Shaq took us to the tourney, and yes it's a tough call on which was/is the worst foul shooter.

NO he is not...... He gave up against Oklahoma... He basically quit on his team.....
So what you are saying is that any player who has a bad game, as a freshman, against a top-tier opponent, is not a Tiger? That will narrow down the list of Tigers by a LOT of players. Remember how many drops Landry and Beckham had as freshmen? Not true Tigers. Matt Mauck's fumble against Oklahoma? Not a true Tiger. The entire 2006 basketball team shitting the bed against UCLA? No true Tigers among them.

I use the term because that’s the popular term when describing criticism here. As far as the rest of what you said I agree 100%

And if he would’ve left us at the altar to go overseas we would’ve won 11 games you’d have blamed him and hated him even more. On top of that your “teammates hated him” comment is pure bullshite and has been debunked 100 times. Lol some of you are just unreal

That core basically was terrible the next year without him.

If you don’t understand it’s probably because i wasn’t talking to you. Try reading the post I actually responded to for context, this really isn’t hard.
