No. He didn’t do anything memorable.
Oh no you didn't...... Dude, he set a record that will probably stand for years and years to come. He was in the top ten in ALL FIVE statistical categories for a season. NOBODY in the history of the SEC has EVER done that.

This...

Pistol's career 44.2 ppg hasn't been broken yet.
And as others have duly noted, that was with no 3pt shot.

Pistol vs Ben comparisons are ridiculous.

I like the implication that if someone is not as good as one of the greatest college players ever that they can't be a legend. Is Shaq not an LSU legend? What about Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf? Hell, I would happily call Garrett Temple an LSU legend just for what he did to JJ Reddick.

Shaq is certainly a LSU legend.

Chris Jackson was a legend as well. I was at the Florida game when he put up 53 at the O'Connell center in his 5th college game, which put him on the national scene.

Pistol and Bop Petit are all time NBA top 50 players who I never had the fortune to watch as a LSU fan.

Garrett Temple is a great LSU alum, but to put him in the same stratosphere as Pistol, Petit, Shaq, and Jackson is ridiculous.

Simmons = amazing talent and star.
Naz= not

Should not be mentioned in same breath.

Simmons gave low effort here and part of the blame cam rest with pathetic JJ. You have to give effort to be considered a great tiger

Which is why I didn't. He can be a legend without being close to Shaq and Pistol Pete. That was my whole point.

His name alone does wonders for LSU with recruits. It gets our name in the door with a lot of elite kids, and doesn't harm us AT ALL in those recruit's decision making process.

Grow up...

One and done is not normal to LSU. He played here for one year because he was the #1 draft pick you moron. Period

Look at his max contract he just signed. 5 years $240M!!! Unreal!!! Now, what is your problem? You know he had my old friend JJ as a head coach. So what is your beef with him?
