Link to where I said he was the greatest Tiger bball player ever or that he was better than any of the players you named. Lol in fact I just posted that Jackson had the better freshman season. Why can’t you just admit that you don’t like him because we didn’t win while he was here and he was only our second 1 and done player ever? You hate him so much that you’re willing to lie and exaggerate his performance to give weight to a personal vendetta, which is fricking disturbing when you think about it.

No he didn't win here..SO... I blame Jones for that... But he didn't give total effort while he was here... His stats mean nothing to me.... He quit when it mattered....

How many Tournaments did Pete make?

You can’t say he didn’t give effort then say the only evidence to prove whether he did or not is disqualified. The only reason you’d say the stats don’t count is because you know they crush your argument.

Why don’t you hate Antonio Blakeney? He was a 5* recruit and one of the highest rated recruits in LSU history but once the team was his we won 11 games and had the worst conference record in history. We were also blown out nearly every night and most games were over within 10 minutes of starting. But nobody hates him, nobody accuses him of loafing or not playing enough D or not leading or not winning. So why the double standard?

How do you know how much effort he gave? He had a historic freshman season, put up absurd numbers, and became the #1 pick of the NBA draft. If you want to say he didn't play hard you should bring something to the table to demonstrate it. And no, a couple of bad games against good teams does not demonstrate lackadaisical play.

The notion that this guy put up historic freshman numbers and led the team in everything while being practically the only weapon and the player every teams defense focused on stopping all while being lazy and quitting has got to be one of the most ignorant and idiotic arguments ever concocted on the Rant. His rebounding and defensive rating alone destroys the argument. Not to mention the fact that he couldn’t shoot and had to take contested shots everytime.

If Johnny Jones wasn’t the worst coach in program history and a moron Simmons would’ve played with the ball in his hands and we’d have easily been in the tourney. Then all this stupid nonsense wouldn’t exist and he’d likely be celebrated around here. The Oklahoma disappearance would’ve never happened and the supporting cast would’ve been much more effective.

More double standards from peej. When he doesn’t like a super productive player they’re empty stats but when he does you better STFU. Such an obvious and weak argument, you’re better than this peej.

Absolutely. How many players in history have been power forwards in college and point guards in the NBA?

Especially now days when there’s precedent. You don’t even have to alter the lineup, he can guard 4s and just handle the ball on offense. Plus what it would’ve done for Quarterman who had a lot of trouble bringing the ball up vs good defenders spending too much energy leaving him much less effective on defense. He could’ve gone back to his natural spot doing a little bit of everything and it also would’ve allowed us to put more shooting on the floor and spread things out for Simmons. One of the worst coaching jobs I’ve ever seen in any sport.

He could’ve gone play a year overseas but instead he came to LSU and people are trying to say he hated this place? That logic just doesn’t hold up.
Everyone knows he came to LSU because his Father's good friend and Ben's godfather was an assistant coach here at the time.

In addition, he got much more attention playing college ball and was able to build his reputation and his future pay days on draft day and signing for endorsements. This is why his complaints about not being paid were so wrong. Of course the rule was the NBA's not the NCAA's but he didn't dare criticize his future employer and so the rant about not being paid for college ball.

Maybe he was just thinking out loud, If I had chosen Duke or Kentucky, I could have been paid while waiting for the NBA.

different game back then, and there were only 25 teams invited to the Dance. If there was a shot clock, a 3 point line, and 64 teams, i bet things would’ve been a bit different.

Ben Simmons Final 10 minutes vs Oklahoma

8 points
4 rebounds
1 steal
1 assist

Lmfao, the Rant where rumor becomes reality.
say what??? Simmons' last point scored was a tip-in at 10:01.

Last 10 minutes of the Oklahoma game, Simmons had 0 points, took only 1 shot, had 2 rebounds, 2 turnovers, and 2 fouls. That's called disappearing. And it's why Vitale and Musberger were BEGGING Simmons to engage.

Simmons during the last 10 minutes against OU:
10:00 to 6:36 nothing
6:36 rebound
6:12 turnover
5:46 turnover
4:48 missed jumper
3:21 foul
3:01 foul
0:51 rebound
