RB, you haven’t made one good argument that a team that has gone 10-3 with this lineup should change. Yes, Hughes sucks at the plate but they are also playing the best defensive team they think they have and allowing for some people to suck on offense. It is a trade out with apparently good results and if he changes now and loses, he would have to listen to Monday morning quarterbacks such as yourself complain that he should be fired. My advice would be if you think you can do better, become a coach and if you are better than CPM, you will get the job and be able to do it your way. Until then, all you can do is complain like the rest of us and stay at the job you are hopefully good at. Lol

The kid is hitting .170, is 1 for his last 31 and has been average, at best, in the field and you morons are acting like him being inserted into the lineup is the reason LSU is winning.
Meanwhile, there are several player who've actually elevated their games (like Saul Garza raising his batting averaged by 120 points or Broussard going 8 for 12 in the regional) that have to be downplayed so you pussies can act like CPM putting Hughes in the lineup was some stroke of genius.
It's sad.

Here is the most important numbers though:
CPM- 1 National Championship for LSU
RB10 and JeffSpartan- 0
Maybe that’s why he is coach and we aren’t.
All we can do is enjoy the wins and hope they continue.

playing devil's advocate, hughes scorched 2 just outside the foul line. that could have been 2 extra bases in a single game.
it's my understanding dugas is hurt. that rules him out.
i cannot imagine that hughes/reid is a BETTER option than reid/bianco or reid/willis. at this point, there's no way you're going to convince me of that. if i'm skipper, there's no way hughes remains on the field. this is not a slump. he's just never had it. hell, put cabrera at first and put willis in left. i seriously will try ANYTHING at this point.
as for the point that "it's working." that doesn't mean it can't work "better" than it currently is. seriously, there's no way bianco or willis would be WORSE than hughes. not possible.

You’re a funny guy. I feel sorry you have such a miserable life to let kids playing baseball or people on a fan board bother you so much. I wish I could help. Honestly, I can’t really stand CPM either and hate Dunn as much. He is better than Smoke though, I will say that. I hope things get better for you so this stuff won’t bother you so much. Maybe we will win the CWS, although I am not sure you will like that or not. Oh well, goodnight.

I think the main problem is CPM is a reactionary coach. None of the team played well most of the season so he just kept tinkering as he always does. Now it is playoff time when you should usually have your team set and we are winning so he is scared to change anything. For example, what kind of coach let’s 2 runs score and two more guys get on base with only 1 out before he starts warming another pitcher? It can be exhausting at times but unfortunately that’s what we have so we just have to go along for the ride. I doubt he will ask our opinion.

Oh I care about LSU. I just don’t get to the point where I feel the need to call people pussies and other names. I am not sure if you think it makes you look big and bad on a message board or if you just do it because people disagree with you and that is all you can come up with to respond. I see that a lot on here, people calling names and insulting the person’s wife or family because they disagree. I am not sure if you are young and that is the new generation or maybe you are older and were taught that way. Maybe it’s just how people have become since they can hide behind a computer screen. Really though, there is no excuse. Oh well, it’s your life, so if it helps you to get by, you go right ahead.

BTW, I guess you misunderstood what I meant by reactionary. If we are winning, he doesn’t do anything because he only reacts to us losing. He won’t even remove a pitcher sometimes until they give up the lead.
