Running Hughes out there inning after painful inning, out after torturous out.?

What possible rational explanation short of explicit pics of Coach Paul in a Delicate situation with a farm animal.

I’ve definitely seen Hughes with multiple errors at 3B, and I’ve definitely seen Reid make plenty of athletic plays at 3B.

Reid plays

The question is are any of our guys not playing now make us better than the team we are playing now.

Reid is playing 1B, a position he has played about weeks in his entire life. Reid should be at 3B, Beloso at 1B, and we find the hottest DH. I promise any combo of DH’s would be better than .170.

Reid at 3rd.
Beloso at 1st
Gio or Dugas DH.

You can't tell me Hughes' defense makes up for the lack of offense.

Perhaps

PM must think our D is better with Hughes/Reid than Hughes/Beloso

Our bench is pretty weak at the plate so it’s got to be D.

Gio v a lefty?
Dugas had cratered.

All the bench guys had shots, none took control after Hughes was benched.

It’s not like everyone on the bench didn’t start at one time or another.

pretty sure they all have their fair share of errors out there. i've seen Hughes make a lot of really good plays that save runs as well. Reid is also really good at 3rd, but he is also better defensively at first than anyone else we have run out there

No worse than Hughes vs. anyone.

He's hitting for the same average as Hughes with the same number of extra base hits in 1/3 of the at bats.

You can keep trying to defend Hughes being in the lineup. Just like everyone else who's tried, you're going to fail.

So why put him in if our D is better?

Why put in a better hitter with 2nd and 3rd with 1 out in a crucial situation?

Man.....Let's think about that for a second....

You know what....You're right.

Leaving Hughes in the lineup who's 1 for hist last, what, 30? in the lineup is a genius move.

According to the stats Reid and Hughes have identical fielding percentages. You can’t use the defensive argument to favor Hughes at third.

The OP questioned Hughes STARTING.

I’d pinch hit a better hitter, a rightie.
Who we got?

That's irrelevant. Because.....reasons.
