Wife wants to leave Virginia Beach Va for Huntsville Al to be closer to her family.
We move. Alabama blows.
She's LSU fan too, but always fight about Saban vs Miles.
Divorce in late 2010 (unrelated to above fights).
After win in 2011 - I drunkenly send email basically stating "WHO'S BETTER NOW!!"
God dang mulligan - She gets last word.
left me with huge house (and huge payment) while she leaves Alabama to move to Colorado.
Just a lot of deep seated resentment there.
We move. Alabama blows.
She's LSU fan too, but always fight about Saban vs Miles.

I hate Bama because it is Bama. I was tried of losses to the great Bear back in the 60's. Coach Mac did the best he could. So over the years the feelings have not changed. Some of the wife's kin are Bama fans. So for 40+ years screw Bama.

I had to stay through the whole game and into the trophy ceremony (CRINGE) until the crowd cleared up enough. It was like having your eyes forced open and moisturized with lemon juice while your skin was scraped with sandpaper and sprinkled with salt. Hearing dear old Nick thank his loyal fans and his "hardworking" team while holding the trophy was just more nails on a chalkboard.
My hatred of Bama burns with the fury of a thousand suns.

I used to root for the "SEC team" in out of conference play, but I just can't do it any more. If the Gumps were playing Iraq, I would be cheering for the fighting camels.

Because if their name was disguised as Utah or Wisconsin or any other name other than Alabama, and they had the same record and same stats as they do right now, they would be ranked 15-20. Other teams have to earn their rankings, they get it with the name, and to make it worse, they think they are entitled to that!!!
